The handle is the lower right hand corner a little notch, I love my Q1 pro I've been printing on it every single day non-stop since I got it with zero failures

"Depression" you mean! As in the depression I had trying to open the doors with big hands. 😆 It is a Great Machine. I love the Heated Chamber for engineering filaments. I avoid printing PLA on it now.....PTSD. The Tougher to Print Materials? Full Confidence! The easy stuff KEEP IT AWAY. LOL.

@@3DandTeePrinting yeah it is a great machine I just picked up a bundle pack of nozzles 1.0, .8, .6, .4, and .2, 2 of each the hardened ones i got some pc and gf filaments coming, for the price and what u can print right oud of the box is insane even though it is majority made out of plastic..... kinda pissed i started out on such old outdated machines but they were cheap I learned a lot and honestly made a little money when I sold both of them lol........

Thank you for the review. I preordered and it was going to be delivered to San Diego by the end of April. Then they changed the date to the end of May. I contacted customer support explaining I was going back to my main house (in Minnesota) and asked if I could change the delivery address. They shipped one out to me within 4 days to my San Diego address!! I've only printed in PLA right now and the prints were fantastic! I had 2 Creality3 v2 printers that I did many upgrades to and gave one to my son and one to my grandson because the Q1 Pro worked great. During the calibration setup I only did the first 2 calibrations and not the third (QIDI recommended not to do it) and I'm amazed how great it prints. Good luck and thanks again for your video. The one thing I need to figure out is the camera and installing fluidd.
@3DandTeePrinting
@3DandTeePrinting 19 дней назад
@andyb7754 it already has Fluidd preinstalled and the camera SHOULD auto populate. You don't need the :4408 to pull it up. Just the IP address in your browser or slicer.

Happy to see you like the Q1 pro. I am considering getting one. The only thing holding me back is the build plate size. I am waiting to see if Qidi comes out with a larger version of the Q1 pro. I already have a k1 and 3 other printers that don't get used. I am also not a fan of the plus and max. So hopefully Qidi comes out with some new printers soon.
@3DandTeePrinting
@3DandTeePrinting Месяц назад
I heard they had fixed the Plus and Max's major issues from first lauch were they stopped sending units out till they repaired all the flaws. I maybe wrong. For price purposes, this Q1 Pro hits all the marks for me and then some. Every Printer I wish was bigger but then I remember more mass more inertia. It's aways going to be size limited in some way.
@Andre_M_3D
@Andre_M_3D Месяц назад
@3DandTeePrinting Yes they did fix most of the issues however at this point the hardware is a bit old. And the price is still too high in my opinion here in Canada. And yes I am aware however when talking about a core xy the mass doesn't affect things nearly as much as a bed slinger.

I'm excited the first thing you printed was Nylon CF, literally one of the more technical filaments out there! No hiding things by just printing everything in PLA just to make a review for the supplier/sponsor of a printer. Love it, and it's on par on cost wise with the Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro, with both at $499. But this Qidi Q1 is an industrial beast! Here I am building a PTC heater for my two AD5M Pros when I should have picked this Q1. Live and Learn. Too bad about the first PLA print, it kind of happens. I've been putting a rubber band on all of my removable print head covers on the X1C and AD5M. Sounds like yours fell off and went for a spin. Thanks for sharing!

Your a better one than me for sure. I enclosed the 5m and called it DONE. Lol. With the Q1 Pro, I Think if some one buys a printer for a purpose, like engineering filaments, it should print what you bought it for. At the least have an upgrade path to get there. The Q1 Pro it's got everything I need except the coveted "BIGGER BUILD SIZE" that keeps getting screamed at every manufacturer right now. Personally I prefer the ability to throw an engineering filament on a print and not have to panic whether the printer can do it or not is awesome. I got to admit I still love to Tinker. I just didn't Want to with the Q1 Pro. I look at the positives. I now know all the wiring and conenctions for the Q1. Lol. Thanks for watching.

You can print Nylon CF on an unenclosed prusa, its actually not hard to print at all, just make sure the filament is dehydrated. The poly carb is really interesting but again small prints like benchy are easy on P1S, its when the print is more than 150~mm long and high that it starts warping bad.
@gillesreyna1272
@gillesreyna1272 Месяц назад
Hey thanks for the video, great to see you tested a lot of filament types. I'm very happy with mines and I'm about to test CF filament but I have a doubt : is the bi-metal nozzle shipping with the printer for CF filament or should I purchase the hardened nozzle ?
@3DandTeePrinting
@3DandTeePrinting Месяц назад
@gillesreyna1272 You can. I haven't noticed any wear on the nozzle yet. I am sure it's nowhere near as abrasive resistant as hardened steel, but until I see any deterioration in print quality or have nozzle wear, I am rocking the Bi-metal. I have run quite a bit more through it since the initial review as well. Still going strong.

yo that polycarb looks great, this is what I am looking for! Typically engineer grade polycarb prints call for an enclosure at ~80C or higher, was the 60C enclosure enough for polycarb with good layer adhesion?
@3DandTeePrinting
@3DandTeePrinting Месяц назад
Yes. I usually have issues print PC in a unheated enclosure. It worked so good with 60c I didn't want to stop printing with it. That's how I ended up making the handle out of PC. Good Layer adhesion and as you can see no warping. I was very happy with the results.

It would be interesting to see how you tuned it.
@3DandTeePrinting
@3DandTeePrinting 19 дней назад
@alpacarider9623 No Need to adjustthe printer profile. The Orcaslicer Profile has been spot in. The major thing is calibrating new engineering filaments. I wasn't able to print successfully on other non-heated enclosed printers. PPS, PPS-CF, ABS-GF25, PA6-CF and PA12-CF all from different brands. It's a very UNFUN part of 3d Printing but once I tuned in the filaments, I have just been using the Orcaslicer Profiles.

I just received my QIDI today I ORDERED IT ON 7/6/2024 it is different from the reviews. 1st it has an Ethernet connect. 2nd they relocated the tube for the fiber. 3rd the hot plate has stops in the back corners to align the plate.

I was looking at getting the qidi x-plus 3 or a bambu labs p1s, for printing pla's, asa's, and nylon's. I know they are different printers, but is qidi, as a company, of high quality or reliable?

@countrydude183 yeah they are by far hands down fastest and most effective at solving the failure. 2 hours to get a reply email that asked for my shipping information and proof of purchase. Next email was the TRACKING number. They sent both the cable and pcb and I had them in 4 days from email to in my hands. The silcone sock they warned me (an apologized) were 🇨🇳 warehouse shipped only (for now they plan on stocking up US distribution centers soon) and could take a while. I verified by trying to order them online through Qidi's website and got a 1 month ETA.
