Okay. That dance sequence gets you 100 thumbs up, 1,000 smiles, and 10,000 points that don’t matter.

I'm jealous of your 3d printer. I'm going to have to try and get one so I can print some cool things too
@LostWax
@LostWax 9 месяцев назад
Yeah, so far it has been amazing. It's funny, I don't 3d print super often for my work, because I am always trying to keep my projects accessible and most people don't own a 3d printer, but if I was just making cosplays for myself, I'd use it all the time.

Great video. Thanks. The Clough42 channel said he had some ghosting / ringing artifacts and discovered one of his belts was loose, and after tightening it, the issue went away.

Wow! What a nice 3D printer. I love all the filaments it can use and how fast it ran. I am definitely going to check it out. (P.S. you look very nice in a Tuxedo.)

Oh boy! I’m totally inspired by the possibilities. I’ve held off for years about getting a printer, but just perhaps…….and I don’t find it far off from an agreeable price. Thanks for sharing.
@LostWax
@LostWax 9 месяцев назад
Yep, there's lots of possibilities, quite a learning curve as well, especially if you are doing your own 3d modelling, but you can make things you just wouldn't be able to otherwise.
@lorraineofalbion369
@lorraineofalbion369 9 месяцев назад
Yes, I would imagine it’s a huge learning curve. I have used ZBrush 3d software in the past, but not for a while, so will have to relearn. 🙃@@LostWax

Hey! You got your EVA foam in my 3D prints! You are the Reese's of creators: two of my favorite things put together! It's a Sophie's Choice situation, sometimes I can't decide which I love more. I am looking at getting my third 3D printer and hadn't considered this printer but your review has me seriously considering this machine. Came for the entertainment, stayed for the thorough, excellent review.

QIDISlicer is now up to version 1.0.8 as of this post. The X-Max3 has has had upgrades, yours probably does too. I would contact support, they are fantastic! My filament holder had its bowden tube hardware removed and relocated to the left hand side. I also removed the push fitting as well. Sooo much easier. Also I removed the bowden tube from the extruder end and put a 50cm piece of clear and now my original blue bowden tube rests against it (there is more than enough resistance to hold the tubes tight. This setup makes feeding in a new roll after the old one runs out a breeze. But I have just purchased a "Comgrow Filament Dryer, Upgraded Filament Dry Box, Large-Capacity 3D Filament Dehydrator for 2KG Filament" to replace the cursed Qidi filament box. We'll see how that goes.

Fantastic video ! I particularly LOVED the "Romance" scene with Tuxedo & you 'dancing' with the machine ! Lol ! You didn't mention, but I think your cufflinks were 3D printed ?! I DO like how you thrift the small additions as the natural wear & tear makes these pieces look a bit aged, without the need for further "distressing.?". Also, your painting is top-notch. You really can make that plastic look like older metal. Very honest review, and the company should be very happy with it, as if I had a cash windfall, I'ld be tempted to buy one ! Also, I LOVE the intro where you show off your clever moving skills so you don't hurt your back. The first time I saw a "chainfall" in high school, I was blown away by how incredibly useful they are. I tend to use lightweight materials now, but I am impressed you had one handy!
@LostWax

You leave the lid loose on the acetone smoothing so it won't explode?? What makes you think it would explode? Sure, acetone is volatile and flammable. But it doesn't spontaneously combust. It's the primary ingredient in fingernail polish remover which comes in a sealed plastic bottle. By leaving the top open, you're just increasing the amount of acetone that escapes from the container during the smoothing operation. If you have a link to a source for the explosion risk for acetone in a sealed container, pleaSe provide it. Never seen that particular caution before.
@LostWax
@LostWax 9 месяцев назад
Heh, I agree. I read that on some website with instructions on acetone smoothing, and though it really didn't make sense to me, I included it just in case there's some chemical reaction that happens with acetone and ABS that I didn't know about. I'll have to see if I can find where that came from.
