Cool! 🔥 In Okinawan Karate, we call this ”chinkuchi” (expansion). 🥋 It’s the old method of impact, as opposed to ”kime” (contraction) used in modern Karate. 🇯🇵 Thanks for sharing! 👊

@@maxgoldfield7790 You don't have to be the best in MMA to be able to call yourself a master in a "combat-effective" martial arts. I watched the video you posted, and based on that it's obvious he's good at fighting. The match could've gone either way but he got knocked in the head and got KO:d. It also seems like he was approaching his 40s. My point is that judging his total worth by a single video in a field that's not even his main focus is naive at best. If you want to be an MMA fighter then you're probably right, you shouldn't buy this program.

I got punched through the air by a Bagua master 40 years ago. It felt nothing like a physical force. It was definitely electric. When he initially touched me to sense my energy, I could visualize the electricity moving through his body and when it hit me I was flying through the air . In the past forty years of taichi practice and iron palm I have broken coconuts and dented steel doors and this energy moves with coordination visualization and is definitely electric

It is clear that the master has both combat experience and physical prowess. I am still kind of skeptical about the actual fight skill. Not because I do not think he can perform but because I never witnessed(or seen in a video) a real combat situation where all this skills can come to fruition. Not that I wish anyone to experience it, but it would be very powerful if there was a video where he fights a real good fighter with his martial art. I kind of know that this would mean he is fighting to maim, which is very sad and dangerous, but it would none the less be an actual testimony of the efficacy of the art. I still see clearly some good uses form the point of physical development and mental acuity. The techniques themselves though are a different thing.
@DaDoubleDee
@DaDoubleDee Год назад
Techniques always become messy and chaotic in real situations. Just look at Judo competitions, almost all the moves (save for the top ranked) are muscled and violent while the training is precise. As well as Boxing, Muay Thai or Karate. A real practitioner with knowledge of how to apply Kung Fu it in the mma cage would be interesting, because every time one ends up in the cage, they are obviously in love with their own movements rather than fighting.

Only you should have that imparting to one disciple as your explaining now to your student teacher. I wouldn't worry about the other masters always be humble, keep the secret of secrets to yourself and one more before your death. I know you want to share everything with us being a righteous man, but the world, is not ready to be open to everything yet. I would teach everything without fear, but I'm ready to die and leave this world for Jesus Christ, into his arms I beseech my spirit. If you teach everything every secret I see nothing wrong but I'm just a man with my opinion. I want to see you live long with a tranquil peaceful only fearing God mind, your a Goodman but the world is not ready yet, like Christ. Maybe one day old friend, keep a going, keep training. This is the way for now till the world grows. In time;), never fear, fear is the mind killer only fear the lord your God or you will not be able to teach properly, hold back heaven, don't teach what cannot be seen. This is how I see things. Hosanna and bless you for what you have taught so far.

Be carefull that Xu Xiaodong don't hear you Jiang Yu Shan ;-) Or you can challange him on purpose. Last time i checked any Traditional Arts Fighter that uses Kung Fu, Qi Gong, Tai Chi or Wing Chun get 3 Million Dollars Price money if they defeat him. I am not jocking. Research for yourself. There is no reason NOT to challenging him if your word is true or is there no courage? You can give the 3 Millions some poor people or kids hospital if you don't want it, think about your Karma. Xu Xiaodong fights anyway here and there because he loves a challenge and pays for his own travels, no hate on his or your side needed. Xu Xiaodong is very polite, if his opponent is too and he addapts if someone is better than himself, like with his first confrontation with BJJ. So perhaps you become friends :-) Who knows, if you dont try or get in contact.

From a purely practical point of view , seeing the master harden his tendons and bones seems to me somewhat dangerous the hands are delicate instruments evolved for many purposes from sowing seeds , to caressing and so on "fighting in martial arts " my fear is that for os a men aged (in this body) 60 with a few spots of arthritis I would NOT want to damage my bones and tendons further , however i appreciate His unusual martial arts skills are unbelievable . Also there IS another spiritual point repeatedly the Bible says and I am sure there were many very brave Jewish warriors with more than a smattering of martial arts , but God repeatedly says "do NOT trust in your own strength( one might say fighting ability as well) , this is wrong or an incorrect way forward, not in Line with the source of all Qi , Chi ( the Holy Spirit) . I would welcome feed back .

Yeeeaaaaahhhh, no - for someone who spent decades learning and trying to recreate a supposedly effective fighting style, he did relatively poorly against an arguably average MMA athlete: www.reddit.com/r/MMA/comments/38k7s7/monkey_kung_fu_in_mma_fight_starts_at_552/ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-suBCpUlWoEY.html So much for the "magic" of traditional kung fu/wushu.

Everytime before he breaks a brick, he lifts up the brick slightly before striking it. That way, when he strikes the brick it is dropping onto the surface below. This is a trick and a dishonest way of making it look like he's really doing something. If he was really breaking bricks using his qi and his tough hands, he would not need to use that trick.
@Vahvafitness
@Vahvafitness 3 года назад
He has lots of footage of breaking bricks without the trick. He has even taught the trick publicly and is not trying to hide it. It makes it easier but it's still not easy and without proper hardening you can cause serious damage to your fingers.

@worryphree evryone in martial arts knows "the trick". from the day on that u train to do it. and then u will say, oh not so easy. and he does break marble plates without trick as well btw if u would try the same i can guarantee u would probably break your hand or wrist and have blue bruised bleeding fingers. i did. many times 😅😅 hitting metal objects, concrete objects, stones. and injured ellbows. from not having proper technique for preparing the hand, wrist, arm, joints and skin and finger tissue. u go try it. have fun

@@marcochaiwallah811 Yeah, in karate we always used those thin pine boards because it's a relatively "soft" wood, and we were taught to mentally project "THROUGH" the target, which is the real "trick." Have you seen those Guy Savelli silat videos? Apparently by what those guys say, they don't do any physical conditioning of the body to be able to break things, but it's all mental. What they do looks quite impressive, if it's legit.

@@worryphree well this is an interesting discussion. to be fair i think this can be unraveled into three topics, 1. physics of distance and momentum of moving objects, how to deliver the most force to a target (i.e. the ohysics of aiming "behind" the target so u actually reach it with fullomentum instead of delivering your punch one inch dostsnce before the target / too early) 2. what technique to use to hit, i.e. where does ge force come from: electric energy/chi, swung momentum and maximum speed of a relaxed arm that just tenses a nanosecond before hitting the target for maximum explosive impact, or using whole body momenum / acceleration from the hips/trunk/shoulders/wrists etç vs "just" using local muscles.. i e. big movement vs small movement... lots to discuss there, and 3. what is the purpose of conditioning, is it to make the "weapon" more effective for damage /useful enough in the firstplace, or is it really more about protecting the body from injuries if technique is failing at a moment. i would say the mental aspect has to do with full focus to be brave and deliver the working technique without holding back, for aximum impact. if there is slight hesitation or focus slips, then injuries happen because the blowa force doesnt get delivered thru the object fully, but there is enough reaistance of the object to redirect the force into the hand hitting. it is an interesting question if perfect technique and acceleration speed with enough chi, can deliver strong blows, that dont need consitioning. i doubt it. because conditioning happens thru practice automatically to a certain degree. someone who has such strong techniques must have practiced a long time. maybe the conditioning isnt visible, sure its a show aspect of credibility to have conditioning that convinces, sells, and looks spectacular. because beginners will be more impressed by that, then subtle techniques that arent visible at all. but that doesnt take away from credibility, if a master is true to himself and the conditioning is not just for show. also conditioning of bones, joints and tendons, starts very early. there is no martial art without it, like beginners conditioning, mainly for pain adaptation, bone density increase, in karate, tae kwan do, wing tsun, boxing, especally the shins in muai thai or arms in crav maga.. anyway btw i cant find the savelli guy u recommend. appreciate a link. it is always good to have a sceptical smart look at things and get your own experience, before believing anything. loke there are hilarious frauds out there, entertaining here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_qpi8IhcG68.html
