i love how much qilby just completey contrasts nox , nox just wanted to go back to the past and relive the memories of the one he loves while qilby wants to forget the past and look towards something new, another man who has went through hell and wants peace and to have the wonder of not knowing something like everyone else does, just an amaizing character all around and an incredible villain
If there’s one thing that just really “sells” it with Qilby (at least for me), it’s his extreme expressiveness. Every face he makes, and every expression, feels odd; conveying a certain emotion, but feeling a tad...”off”. Kind of erratic really. It’s weird as hell, and I LOVE it, for some reason. It’s probably the clear contrast to what he pretended to be, but damn...does it work well.
It conveys his emotional extremes and the accompanying madness. Like how he’s spent so long by himself and now he’s finally let loose he just can’t keep a lid on anything he does anymore.
@@KhaosAdmiral I don’t remember Rushu as a villain but more as a hero or at least a protagonist. Why do you thing he was quite for a few episodes because he released that he was acting like a generic villain so he stop being a villain.
@@KhaosAdmiral well...the ten demons were born as counterpart when gods were born, and their only goal was to destroy everything, eventually, Rushu got bored of his brothers and sister and killed them all, yes it's a bit generic, but even in the real World, some people do evil (from oir perspective) but because they like that, like we say in french "Il faut de tout pour faire un monde"
I mean in fairness to Qilby, he definitely remembers that Grougaloragran despite being in a weaker state, is still one of the firstborn Dragons and as expected still retains an immense amount of Wakfu and power.
@@KhaosAdmiral Yeah if i remember correctly Grougaloragran was one of the Dragons involved in kicking Quilbys shit in and i tihnk that memory is still very much alive in him
I feel like Qilby gets a little overlooked due to how amazing nox was. But I think he's still a verygood villain if more blatantly evil. Its unfortunate season 3 had the budget issues that caused it to be shorter, and Oropo to be done less well than his predecessors.
I’d say Oropo had the most buildup, in a way, with him being the last real Eliotrope, being the race that appears in the Wakfu and Dofus games, and The Siblings being introduced in the OVAs. Even then Oropo is still the worst of the three but still good
@@mr.avocado9413 A fair opinion, Im not one of those who cant understand why people felt like that was a good buildup for Oropo for me It felt like they were sucking abit of the life out of Qilby and Nox to put wind in Oropo's sails. And well, how add the show fits in with the games i sometimes forget they are supposed to be linked
I honestly prefer Qilby to Nox. Eliatropes are implied to be good, like, all of them. To see one that is definitely NOT good is amazing. Plus he is done just so so well
i'm sure he would not marry you. Even in theory. Marriage is a literal alien concept for him. You should think about this the other way "I don't care what anyone says, this is the most handsome man in existence and I wish he would knock me up."
While i enjoyed Nox more i still think that all of the Wakfu villains are very good, Qilby being no exception. Good work can't wait to see what you come up with for Oropo.
Thanks for having made the Nox tribute. Without it I would have never found out about Wakfu and Qilby. I had a blast watching it. Keep up the awesome work!
Not bad. :) :) I love how this video includes a variety of expressions with Qilby, ranging from suave to mad to angry, and it manages to pack in quite a lot of action like your Nox music vid did. :) :) I noticed at the lower-pitched lyrics you mainly used talking shots of Qilby to make it look like he's singing the songs, and action took over when the singer's vocal volume rose again. :) :) I think you succeeded in creating a Villainous Breakdown in the narrative again from 2:40 onwards; with how smug shots of Qilby seem to more or less cease in favour of angry and fighting shots after that point, and with how Qilby's fighting seems to become more frenzied up to his defeat.
It really s cursre for Quilby. The fact thst he remembers alk his,past life but only to feel empty is just like eternity of doing nothing. It doesnt differ that much from the place where he was banished.

Если я поняла верно, то господин Килби получил в свою собственность чистый холст. Твори, что тебе угодно. И никто не скажет тебе: "Нет". Тупо потому, что ты - единственный житель данного измерения, и вякать - тупо некому. Вобщем, как в той поговорке: "Имея идею, вечность, и тяпку - можно и Ад сделать Раем". Отсюда вывод - главное, это найти тяпку. И начать ею что-нибудь тяпать. А там... Само придёт. Не факт, что то, на что расчитывал, но что-нибудь прийдёт - это по-любому.
I honestly have to say, when my friend recommended this to me I had no idea what to expect- but in the course of this video I was floored, drawn in and immediately digging into this fandom. So the most sincere of compliments when I say this is freaking BRUCE. I have rewatched this so many times in only three days now it’s insane.

do it its called wakfu its amazing WATCH SUBS NOT DUBS the english dubs are terrible af 3rd season wanst that great though. this show also has OVAS between season 2 and 3 and oter special episodes. and it also has a diferent serie in the same universe called DOFUS
This character looks so cool! I haven't watched the show but it realy makes me want to watch it just by looking at that! Unfortunately, he is the vilain and thus probably dies at some point :(
Im just gonna say it, if he does play a big part in season 4 i really hope he *DOESN'T* get a redemption arc, like seriously the guy was ready to kill his own people, capture innocent life forms from other planets and made experiments on them just out of curiosity, literally freed all shushus from their dimension to the world of the twelve just to fulfill his goals, started a war with a another race of people that resulted in the devastation of his planet and was read to destroy an entire planet full with innocent people all of this cause he was bored! And im pretty that there's more Pls Ankama don't give this guy a redemption cause he doesn't deserve one after all the stuff he did Edit: just a reminder that i love quilby too i just think that it would ruin his character by alot to give a redemption to him
А зачем? Мне кажется. что он не плохой, по базе. Ему просто скушно. А это означает, что он - глупый. Потому, что психи и мудрецы - всегда при деле. Ну, вы говорите, что ему было интересно кто кого на шнурки пустит. Так это же - Древний Рим по классике. Шоу для развлечения тех, кто по каким-то причинам ничего не может сделать полезного для себя в жизни. Наверное, современные геймеры выглядели бы так же, как этот Килби. Просто мы убиваем на экранах компов, и это - типа не считается. А так - типичное геймерское поведение. А кто увлекается видио-играми? Как правило те, кто не могут реализовать свои мечты в реальной жизни.

Nox will always be my fav, but Qilby is far scarier. I got a fan fic going on in my head where they both work for my first Garry Sue of an oc. Nox is reform. But Qilby, he still evil. The only way my oc keeps him in check is promises of new animals to study in new worlds. This worked well till Qilby accidentally created a new type of monster of darkness and unleashed it. Not it threatens all words and he just want to study it as it destroy every reality. And so what if it does, he has more then enough samples to create new life to study. I have not written this down and don't plan to. I like to keep my fan fics in my head.
@@volti2829 But that not its only function. One function let Qilby locate his sister's dofus no matter where it was hidden. Nox on the other hand studied it for years, learing the ways of Xelors from it.
Я из тех людей, что любят читать анотации к сериалам, но не смотрят, как правило, сами сериалы. Нокс мне показался интересным, хоть и откровенно глупым. Потому, что очевидно, что если он вернётся в прошлое, то случится временной парадокс. А вобще, нельзя вернуться в прошлое тупо потому, что объективно времени - не существует. есть просто взаимодействие материи и энергии друг с другом, и так-то - да, не вопрос, востановить тела его семьи, не такая уж и большая проблема. Но вот как он с сохранением набраной ими за жизнь информацией будет выкручиваться? Потому, что если не востановить это - то он получит совершенно другие личности. Скорее, у Нокса был тупо синдром отмены, на фоне сильной травмирующей ситуации, вот и всё. Килби... Ну, это же местное божество, сколько я поняла, верно? Боженька скучать изволяет? Хм... Ну, можно поступить так, как в мифах делал Один - пойти в народ. Килби надо было создать себе челенд: сложить свои божественные силы в кладовку, и играть в игру, что он - просто местный разумный (как уж они там называются). Сразу резко скучно быть перестанет, когда придёт понимание того, что ты - не имба, и тобой тут могут запросто позавтракать.

Yeah I understand what your saying because in cartoons and movies the villains do a lot that you can see and can be epic were in games the villains mainly do cool stuff in cutscenes and even then not for long and in actual gameplay footage it can be hard to tell what they are doing some time's
So, I don't get. Is Qilby, a part of the same species as Yugo? Because they both seem to share similar desgins. They, both have hat's with patured animal like ears. And they have similar ruins on there bodies. And they can summon portals into thin air. Am I missing something here?

between Nox and Qilby, I could honestly see it going either way but I'm leaning more towards Qilby on account of unlike Yugo throughout most of Season 2, Qilby actually has complete mastery over his powers.
