Thank you SOOO much! This tutorial is excellent! I made a qipao for myself years ago. Even though it didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it, I wore it until the fabric started ripping (I loved it so much). I now want to sew a new one, but would like to be more precise about it. Found your tutorial while reasearching "sewing qipao". And I'm really impressed: very well made and detailed!

I can't express how much thankful I am and how much do I platonically love you for doing such an easy and complete tutorial, I was going crazy trying to understand how to correctly sew the pattern once they were cut. P.S: Fuck thoese haters and keep showing how to deal with cats while sewing hahaha my mini phanter is OBSESED with threads and always try to hunt/eat them while running on the machine xD

@@poonammishra8570 I just looked it up. Yes, you're right. The ao dai looks a lot like qipao. I supposed you could modify it simply by making the dress longer and the side slits higher. Looks like one will also need to either layer it or wear pants with it.
