They hired a cheap crappy law firm and the project was handed over to an intern. I'm not even kidding. This is clearly written by someone outside the paintballing industry who has done bare minimum research.
Hey dude I fucking love these vids! I may be in the minority but I really like the vintage gun reviews because they aren't just reviews, you use them to tell stories about how paintball used to be and it's sooo fascinating
Love the reviews of the lower end or older markers. They make me want to find a pm6 or buy a b2k. On the subject of valken soft goods my buddy bought a pair of their pants that ripped on the first day. Keep in mind he isn't doing any sliding or diving just some kneeling and the occasional run.
This ladies and gentlemen is what we call in the trade a "Spurious Lawsuit" , as the Code approaches neither the trade dress nor the function of either the Invert Mini nor the Empire Axe. Interesting little marker and as I am brand agnostic ( barring AGD, WGP and WDP .sadly only one left alive these days.) I hope this marker does well. It presents quite a bit of promise , and I would love to put it through it's paces.

If they're basing their lawsuit on the grip design and the spacing between it and the trigger, then hell, AGD can sue freaking everybody for having a single tube body.
Just played w/ a Mini GS for the first time today..... The only complaint is the barrel. Couldn't shoot beed, rope etc.... but im guessing that due to the barrel. Again stock mini gs on air with valken infinity paint.
After reading some of the legal papers and hearing the situation. This lawsuit just seems like a masked attempted to make a court law that prohibits one company from using multiple designs from other markers of another company to make their own marker. So basically you can't use similar pieces from proto,m2,dsr,and dam. To make your own marker. If gi wins, this basically means companies have a blanket over all designs.
I imagine that they waited until the gun actually hit the market for purposes of jacking up damages. They could attempt to claim that any decline in their own sales was the result of competition from the code. .
I guess smart parts echoes in theese law suits. However inserious the lawsuit May be it still ties upp resources in countering the lawsuit. It is easy to fire one up but it takes greater resources to quell the fire. Why wasnt mokal aura never in trial?
I have two Axes and a Code. I agree about the out of the box comment. I'm a big fan of the gun. I've actually ran it over the two. It is a nice little marker, I would argue its shot quality is up there, and I feel it is underrated in its Air efficiency as well. There will be Lemons with every gun, but I haven't had a problem at all with mine. I also still have my same battery which is just over 5 months.
You are a very good investigative journalist, and you could easily make a RU-vid living commenting on modern events, politics, gossip, lawsuits, etc! For now, I'll keep watching your paintball videos as soon as I see they're uploaded.
I still rock old school JT arm guards and kneed pads as well as their paintball shoes. I love them all. They`ve lasted me onnnnnnn a decade or so and are still in great shape.
I love how stupid law is. Lawyers are always portrayed as these super smart wordsmiths in movies, but these guys are just wildly incompetent. I wonder how much GI paid in legal fees
I have a really good idea of who probably wrote this... I'd Bet Money that it was an attorney (random lawyer for the company) that hardly knows anything about paintball and this would explain why this person who wrote it is so misinformed or just ignorant with the details of the gun/marker. But great Video once again man! Anyway it looks like it shoots really nice in the the video! Are these still available on the market? And how much are they if so?
I appreciate the offer, but I will likely do a mech Spyder review someday and have plenty to choose from already. Though the Rodeo is a nice one, with a regulator stock.
Don't get me wrong that the paints okay but the guns really suck and I don't mind the jerseys I do got the blue hatch valken Jersey set pretty durable when I have to dive
I really enjoyed this video and definitely influenced my decision to pick up the Valken Code. I'm having trouble with it chopping paint. The paint is maybe 2ish months Valken Graffiti (problematic?), I'm using the Valken VSL Hopper, and the stock barrel. Any suggestions?
@@qmto copywrite and trade law is funny. If it can be mistaken for the other by the average person, you have enough to go to court. Also, Valken has been sued by GI over copyright and lost in the past so there is a history of it.
I personally Love valken graffiti but all there other paint sucks,and ive had there fate pod pack for a year now and it still has yet to give me issues for a 27$ pod pack,as for there jerseys god awful and i really don't like there guns,it looks kinda like a unconformable mix of a mini gs,and a mini. I personally shoot a axe 1.0 but i have a friend with a code and they honestly shoot the exact same but im sure paint,velocity all of that is obviously not the exact same since i always pay for 4 star gi and he buys the cheap stuff, but other then valkens guns,jerseys,and air tanks im actually a pretty big fan of valken.
I don't understand the question, you clearly know that I'm using a Smart Parts Freak barrel. That's the barrel. If you're wondering what bore size I happened to be using, its a .684 insert. But that can change depending on whatever paintballs I happen to be shooting.
Code is definitely differnt from mokal Aura (proton). Together with dsr this offer completely differnt/(New) features to mid level markers. I guess the lawsuit is collected in joint ventyre with other manufacturers, thys the "delay". Valcen May be a copycat, there is a Market for copies as well. Code is not a copycats. Its a genuine product on its own. Im a planet fanboy and cannot waist money on anything of lesser quality for the prize. However some of My airsoft/Paintball Idols dont like copycats why i Will support their Case not to purchase valken.
