Man, this style of video is awesome--the visuals and the narration! We sure have gone through quite a list of cameras, haven't we? Totally on the same page with you about the X-Pro1--one of two cameras I wish I had back. (The other is the Leica m8.) And the story at the end--brilliant!
Wonderful video! Quite insightful and delightful listen! I have a Pentax Q love that camera, but I have a Pentax MX-1 is such a great camera to grab and go! My first camera I really enjoyed using and just having fun, was the Pentax MX4, looks like a Buck Rogers ray gun. Your channel is a hidden gem! Thanks for sharing!
Yup I am the target segment ! I have the 5d classic, E500, XT2 and even the Pentax PC35AFM. Pentax is great but I seem to have bad luck with P&Ss mine gets stuck on 10sec timer. Two cameras I am really enjoying right now is the Canonet ql17 g3 and Nikon F2
slaps - you should take a look at some of the later pentax point and shoots (like the 140) - they're super overlooked. you made a great point in the video about your optio that pentax puts SMC on their best lenses, and at the end of the point and shoot days they started putting out a bunch of primo models that say SMC on the lens. I got the 160, texting it now. have also had the 90MC (no smc on the lens, but mc in the name?) and was floored by the quality
@@shutterslaps4938 thanks for the great conversation! by the way, where does the GXR fare among the other ricohs youve tried? Just picked up an infrared sensor for one!
@@thirtyvibe Couldn't agree more about the Pentax P&S cams. I have the 90mc, 140, and 160, but the star of the collection for me is the 928. Have you shot that one?
@@UlyssesGrantParm i've seen it come up but not yet! have you heard of the UC-1/Espio Mini, or the 120SW/120SWII? both look sleek as heck and sport that SMC badge
