I had the kw181, I loved it! But looking at this video now I want to own this one. Smaller and easy to carry it. I’m sure the sound is neat. Can’t go wrong with QSC. Never.

I have a ks112 and just filmed a little review that I need to edit and put out but I watched this several times before I bought this sub. I honestly have REALLY mixed feelings on it. There are a lot of positives about it and if you can wrap your head around the FACT that this isn't a 18" sub and doesn't punch and hit like a 18 would, then this is a great choice. I think us DJ's always want more bass but this sub is a great compliment to my K12.2s and adds just the right amount of bass to the dance floor to help the vibe out. Plus I can lift it and put it in my car AFTER I've been spinning for 5 hours.

Just FYI this does NOT have a true crossover. It is a low pass filter for the sub only, the "through" outputs are not affected in anyway. So if you set this for 100Hz on the "crossover", then

Do you need to plug in to both inputs to get full power? How would I do that with 2 subs and two k12.2s?

Hey, Dave. Thank you for checking out our RU-vid video. When connecting k12.2 you only need to go into one input on the speaker to get to the full volume of the speaker. You need to set the gain on the channel to the proper level for your need. I personally would start at zero. When running subs, there are a couple ways to run them. You can either aux feed your subs and then run a cable from the mains to each speaker individually, or you can run the main outs to the subs individually and then jump from the subs to the k12.2 and use the crossover built into the sub. I have two QsC K8’s can I hook up this sub without a mixer a direct connect to the speakers for less clutter for home use.

What would be the optimal setting with these subwoofers if Im using the K12 QSC Tops and 2 or 1 QSC subwoofers 80% or 100% crossover etc. Party for about 100-200 ppl? I have Rane One Mixer?? 4 speaker or 3 speaker setup.

Hello, Creative Species! I’d certainly trust your ears on this one, as optimal crossover settings will depend on your space and the audio material you are broadcasting. With this sub and K12 tops, I’d start with a 100Hz crossover and adjust from there. Thanks for the interest! Used my new QSC ks112's in conjunction with my new K12.2's (outside) and was completely blown away!! 8000W's of power backing the band. The thumping lows and crystal clear highs was everything I was hoping for in this QSC System!

@@djtekitizi actually, that totally depends on various factors! Room acoustics etc! If good room acoustics, you can cover large indoor area! If bad acoustics, even a simple short throw will sound bad! You can safely cover 100-400! Since, nowadays.. above 50 is not allowed.. so just 1 satelite + 1 sub will be good! More than overkill for such a tiny event (50 max due to c0vid)..
