Qshave cleaning and disassembly tutorial (Merkur Futur clone)

Notice that the baseplate has 2 dots in one side. Also notice that the cap has a flipping side (for flipping it and loading the blade). The dotted baseplate side should face the opposite side off the flipping side of the cap. This tip along with tightening the baseplate like you showed fixed all allignment issues, gaps etc. that I had. Again, its a Chinese mass made product, so quality control can vary. A last tip if you done all the above and still facing issues is trying flipping the spring. Thats all. Great smooth saving with this razor, every single time. Χαιρετίσματα από Κύπρο!

Bloody hell my qshave was stuck on number 4 for months, it wouldn't turn. I had to use 10 inch locking pliers set to just above the minimum, with lots of wrapped cloth on the handle. I got the adjustment moving but it took 2 days of soaking in water softener (salt&laundry powder) to get the mechanism loose. Just now I got them apart! There's so much left over shaving soap in the threads and spring. I still had to use the locking pliers, the screw and thread were very seized. I was using Palmolive shave stick 70%of the time and Mitchell's woolfat soap. If you use Palmolive soak your razor in boiling water & 1 teaspoon of laundry powder once a month.

This helped me out, i disassembled my Futur and on setting 1 the baseplate was not fully seated but when I changed the orientation of the blade holder is seated correctly.

θυμίζει τον τρόπο που καθαρίζω το πιστόλι μου! αχαχα Πάντως είδα και τα 3 βίντεο που έκανες. Ήθελα να κάνω μια παραγγελία για ενα ξυράφι που ήθελα και όπως πάντα ψάχνοντας έπεσα και στο Qshave. Θα το παρω και αυτό τελικά γιατί μου θέλω λίγο να μάθω τα adjustable πριν δώσω κανονικά λεφτά. Σ' ευχαριστώ για τα βίντεο και την ενημέρωση! Nice video. I have just been given a Qshave. Will WD40 work as a lubricant? I know WD40 has a strong smell which might linger and spoil the shave experience

Αν είχα μεταχειρισμένη εννοείται θα το έκανα θα το έβαζα και σε UV sanitizer αν είχα...με ενδιαφέρει αν το κάνεις όταν το αγοράσεις...

Mine won't rotate far enough to do this. Mine only rotates from 2 to 4 at this point. Nothing I do can make it so this is adjustable. This is a junk product.
