Color has no meaning, red and white is usually for winter and cold weather, white is lighter and usually warmer weather, there are differences in how they wear them, DO NOT wear with normal clothing it looks bad and people will hate you for it, and yeah that’s it

You can wear it without offending, and there aren’t special looks for the royal family

1- No, though the red and white one is worn in winter (and also sometimes in summer), the white one is worn at summer, and there is a third one called a shaal, which is quite a thick one worn at winter, especially at night. 2- If i correctly understood your question, then the answer is yes. For example, in the UAE (yemen too) they wear it kinda like a turban, while in Qatar it is worn as a cobra. 3- if you're speaking as in just any royal family member, then no. Though, high ranking state officials (ministers, the Amir, shura council members etc.) And ambassadors wear it as a Mi'ris style with a bisht 4- you're gonna get a lot of giggles and weird looks 5- Yes, if they are not wearing "normal" clothes with it
