Quad Cortex, Helix, Plethora, Strymon chorus pedals compared 

Many like the old CE-1 and there is a reason for this. You can really hear Line 6 modelled the entire circuit ..not just the delay side or the time and shape of the LFO but also the entire audio path in use... which has artifacts and a lack of fidelity and a compressed dynamic range that contribute to a perceived warming of the sound. This video convinced me Line 6 might have the best simulation of the CE-1....and I love my Quad Cortex but now I might need to do a capture of the CE-1( audio path only) ...Iv'e owned or have used just about every pedal and or rack chorus ever made

Greetings. Oddly enough, I did a similar test a few days ago, then randomly came across your video. I bought the Eventide TriceraChorus , as it sounded so lush. I have a Quad Cortex, which I rate above all the other modellers for myself. I’ve owned them all, but this one I’m keeping. The chorus sounds are useable, but they don’t ‘blow me away’. I too, found the Line 6 choruses really excellent, especially for getting that tri chorus sound. Sort of on par with the Eventide, possibly. I’ve not experimented enough with adding the pitch shift element yet, but I’m sure with some twiddling, it would match the TriceraChorus. Leon Todd gets a knock out tri chorus sound on an HX stomp, so it can be done. More effort needed on my part. Great video, I concur with your thoughts 👍
