***** You do realise how lazy that is right? I mean when you wrote that comment did you stop and think that these tracks are already all over the internet and I will be providing a redundant service? You are telling me that you are so lazy that you can't download a couple soundtracks yourself? You need them hand picked and handed to you? lol. Ok. I sat for plenty hours to put this together, and more time before that to come up with this compilation period based on previous versions I myself listened to many times over for weeks to make sure it was something I loved. And all this completely for free. If that is lazy well then I guess I am lazy. You like THIS specific track/compilation? Then thank you, I state the way to get it since there are those that asked for it. You want the soundtracks from the games? Go find them. That is not the service I provide. There is a list in the description for each song to get you started. Thank you and good day to you. I hope you enjoyed the compilation.
+Nitori Kawashiro Fanclub "who the hell told you Marilyn Manson made those soundtracks for Quake" is all my eye caught. Yeap, RE songs. At which point did I state they are from Quake? Look up the list, unless my eyesight is wrong there is no reference to them being from Quake. The format of the list works better with shorter names, and there you have it. Too busy to read your other comments mate. It is obvious you are trolling. You know how it goes, more important things to do than debate over what I should or should not be doing or I don't know what else is your bother. This isn't a torrent service or a music shop mate. I made a compilation for free, like it? Cool. Don't? Just as cool. Find the songs and download them in your own free time, not mine. Have Fun. p.s, if this was exclusive content that I owned or made I would go into detail and provide links, hell even sites if the content needs it. This is not. Do you even realise that half these files being shared P2P is illegal? Derp. I ain't making any money off this, and the video still got a claim on it, its up just for fun so people can enjoy it.... And there now I am explaining myself to a troll. Anyways. Have fun mate and good day to you.
***** Hey, you went through the trouble of doing that? Well thats' nice. Cooperation brings great results after all. I took all that time to make the compilation, you then also took some time on your part to make the collection. And they say nothing comes for free. That's nice. Thanks. Its called a team effort. And I see it didn't take u too long either. p.s, I don't even have these tracks anymore since my last format. And since my YT account is for other content which I make myself (the compilations are just for fun) it is not in my "time-budget" unfortunately to be spending more time on them than need be when I already have a dozen and one tasks that I have already fallen behind on (YT content included) for various reasons including technical. You should post your comment separately if you want people to find you more easily. If you want I can even link u in the description. Again, thanks.
***** long night I guess, I'm losing sleep today on several tasks and my head is about to pop the last 6 hours or so >.< I guess we all had the good intent in heart and that is what counts. Adding you to the description to credit you for this. Thanks.
+Pavel Rizzo (The Screwdriver) Damn right. I love it :) This is the direction we are going for in our own songs for our game :) (linked in the description) although for the moment more towards rock than electronic as well, but the next track will be indeed more rocktronic focused ;) Check it out and give us your thoughts :) We are trying to collect feedback on it to see impressions.
I finally managed to find forged of hate! I remember loving it when I came across it a few years ago, but I can't find it anymore except on a few Russian sites and this compilation video. Thank you!
Master D well yeah, but its cooler to refer to the originals (Q1 and Q2). Q3 made more sense for arena play... But the name of the power-up didn't since it is only x3 and Quad referred to x4 :P So all things considered, Quad Damage I think should be remembered for its x4 value :D
+Destro7000 Yeah I know, I usually do that when I can. Was too wasted from making the compilation that I simply uploaded it. Will get around to it sometime. Thanx for the heads up.
The Gaming Ground :D I hope it stays a part of your go-to- compilation for a long time to come :) Well, until you get bored of it then come back to it again :P Thnx again for the great comment, you're awesome ;)
The Gaming Ground Oh, and an even bigger thanks to the masters that made this music to make this compilation possible :P Quake soundtracks are freaken awesome I reckon. I simply had to make it :)
Too bad 2017 is the future and in the future everything is worse. We have abilities in Quake now! Having fun tracking Nyx with your lightning gun? Too bad she can just turn invisible and shotgun you from behind!
Must admit, quakers are overhuman. I doubt their blood has same boiling point as normies like me, still they are hard boiled and off the chart as hell. We need modern gaming fanbase like old quaker era.
I don't know of any Rob Zombie's remix, but I do know he had a part on Q2's intro (Ntro) music with Bill Brown It's a little messy to get info on that, but I'm sure he had no part in the actual Q2's ost, and I don't think the music we hear under the video intro (the one with the starships) has been released as a standalone track.
Might you happen to have just the Quake I Theme and Quake I Hamster Alliance Remix separate from the rest of this video, but melded with each other in the same style you melded them here? I'd love to have it. :D
Hey, just noticed your comment again, a short while back QL was released as a Free To Play on Steam. Steam runs Linus and Mac doesn't it? Maybe they got rid of that support because they were planning to move over to SteamOnly for those platforms. Might be worth checking out ;)
The description needs a contents list of what songs are in here and links to each begin-cue in the video's timecode. This is an hour long! Kinda wanna know what's in it before I click play :s
+disinfect777 what? you sure? I took those straight from the pk3 file, and it had no details, and everywhere I looked since the only credits given to the score was to Sonic Mayhem. Are you sure about this? I will have to confirm before I change it in the list.
DCF - HazardReborn I don't know why, but I replied a week ago but it doesn't show up. Look at wikipedia, both FLA and SM did the music for quake 3. Also, a few songs here are not actually from Q3 OST but from sonic mayhems album called "Music From And Inspired By Quake 3 Arena". Tribulation for example, is not part of the Q3 OST.
disinfect777 o.O Yeah RU-vid does some funky shit sometimes. There are on occasion on my other videos too, comments I need to review and they pile up, even when I have selected to approve all comments. No idea why it does that. Sometimes I see comments on my videos and yet can't find them anywhere to reply or read them in full and they simply pop up after a week. Go figure. Last thing to add to this, I can't edit any comment I make on RU-vid for the last 3 days >.< Anyway. Yeah I was aware of that second part you mentioned, some of the songs are not part of the actual OST. The first song too, Quad Damage (Audio Adrenaline), along with quite a few more actually. The thing is that it is all as you also mentioned with tracks from the game as well in the one album. They are all under Quake 3. If you noticed I steered clear of saying OST anywhere in the description, and the song names themselves actually indicate which game they are from/inspired by or written/performed for not which in-game soundtrack they are from. Also some here pointed out that some songs are not from Quake. I also mention that in the original description which I had put together when I uploaded the video ;) So yeah, Q3 simply refers to what collection of work it is from. Most of the time online you only need the title and artist to find a song anyway, so I simply added the Q2 and QIII labelling to make it easier for people to know where it comes from :) In the case that an album name is needed, they simply refer to it as Quake 3 most of the time. The only thing I was not aware of was that FLA thingy. No wonder why some songs where missing from the Sonic Mayhem collection and I had to go and find them myself again from original files.
nine inch nails and quake go like doom and demons why must quake 2 be named quake 2? :( I mean I get the whole no one coulda thought of a name but don't erase the beauty of quake classic but at least it still exists
+Kera Bwoi Its called Quad Damage because that is the powerup in the game from as far back as the first title. Basically, you done x4 damage with it. In Quake 3 they downscaled it to x3 damage, but it was still called Quad Damage. (Pay attention to the first song, the voice that calls out Quad Damage, that is from in-game to Quake 3/Live). So basically it represents Quake, not the number of Quake titles used in the soundtrack. Also, Quake 4 did not have a soundtrack the likes of the classics. It was a proper score as in military action, but not that rocktronic sound we had in the 1st 3 titles, hence why none of those songs made it to this compilation.
Kera Bwoi lol, yeah I get what you are going for. But, the songs really don't fit :( It was hard enough to pull out Quake 1 tracks that would fit :( p.s, your English is fine, mate ;)
***** because the Quake soundtrack is an actual soundtrack and the tracks it has are not really "music" in the conventional "put it into a compilation" kind of a thing, especially for a compilation like this one that aims at that "rock-tronic" result. 70% of the Quake soundtrack is atmosphere, hence completely out of the style of this compilation. The only tracks eligible for this here are the intermission track and the theme, and unfortunately although I wanted to incorporate the intermission track in here somehow it is too short and again out of tempo, hence leaving the theme alone as a track I could properly add (and especially its remixed version). Hope that helped :)
+SavageCorona I'll look into it... Thnx. Hmmm, it might be time for a new Quake compilation afterall, if I see enough changes and can come up with something as cool and not just a different version of this mix then I will get to it ;)
