The fact that he is 20 years old and self produced the entire song and almost the entirety of his upcoming album is amazing! He's also edited AND directed the music video. Quadeca is going places!
I think this video really shows how little bias Anthony truly has. He has never liked Quadeca's music in the past. That absolutely had no impact on how he felt about this song or how it made him feel emotionally, and I think when you've gotten it into your head that 'you don't like this person's music', it's difficult to like anything you listen to from that point forward. The fact Anthony is able to so easily looked passed that naturally reaction we have as humans, is really a testament to why he is such a respected critic and why he is incredible at his job. What a true showing of why you deserve to be where you are Anthony, bravo man. So glad you liked this track. Quad deserves the love for the hard work he's been putting in to master his craft. It takes love for what you do to create a song like Sisyphus from nothing. Also, listen to the way Anthony speaks about Quadeca towards the end...He respects him now. A TON more than he did before. That's so awesome. Before he would say Quadeca 'copies other artist's sound' but now he says 'Quadeca is stylistically versatile'. Fucking Love It.
Very good take! I agree completely, this is the reason I have been following him for years now and will continue to respect his opinions even when I disagree with his taste. Wholesome comment.
Fantano liked a Quadeca song, is looking forward to an NF Project, and has enjoyed everything hopsin has put out so far this year. 2021 is on some weird shit.
@@SoccerMustafa yea he was dogging Alone Together, I think...Which was crazy to see him turn around and like this track so much when a lot of his gripes were on the overly condensed melodramatic beat he was rocking with here. Maybe that's just me, anyone else?
At the end yesterday I yelled out “JOJI that’s who you remind me of” and here we are I’m glad you can hear that as well. The instrumentation and overall sound at the end was pleasing as hell
@@chilihotdog7257 all that sounds like Igor is the arpeggio synths to me, I actually got some I Know the End vibes from Phoebe Bridgers in the last leg
@@J2003-i8q It's a FIFA pack opening. The laziest kind of content that you can create. If you have no talent at all, just open FIFA packs. I'm glad that he found something that he is good at
I never heard of this dude before but I have to say, the production of this track is fuckin excellent. I love all they layers and contrasting moods in this. And apparently he produced it himself so kudos to him
I think the writing on the song is also something to be admired because while it is subtle it takes the story of sisyphus and plays off of it while also giving it multiple meanings, even the song itself plays out like the story, with him slowly building up, reaching the peak, and then crashing back down, I personally love this song
Let's be honest: The production is next level, Qaudeca or no Quadeca. I've been wanting this level of production and "beat" composition for the past 10 years.
I've been a fairly big quad fan since Voice Memos and I listened to this track like five times in a row when I first heard it. Genuinely the best I've ever heard him. Glad to hear you give him some love :)
@@quadecaben1221 why would quadeca not be youtube rap to you? He's incredibly talented and has been doing this for years but is still youtube rap. He has been pushing the limits of what RU-vid rap is for a long time. He has been a RU-vidr since back when he was playing fifa and is no doubt a RU-vid rapper.
Btw in case you don't know about the myth of Sisyphus, Sisyphus was cursed to push a giant boulder up a hill for all of eternity in the depths of Hades. So the title is a metaphor
@@jodwnkdjnw as a diehard Logic fan, i can 100% confirm that there are CLEAR difference between Voice Memos & anything Bobby has done. You can clearly tell Quadeca has his own sound, he just sounds similar, that's it. I mean, listen to "I Made It" by Logic, they sound so alike lmao.
@@SlyJordie as far as album sequencing, production and overall sound, I think Quad is influenced by Kanye and Kendrick. He even mentions them in a song, I mean yeah you can mention anyone in a song but something tells me that he was influenced heavily by them
Speaking on behalf of The hardcore Quadeca Fanbase, You have NO IDEA how happy we are from him. And no we don't care if there is no fast bars, good music is good music
Got me wishing it was a rock track. Loved it though. My favourite part was the whole Sisyphus theme being played with the lyrics and the imagery of the mountains. Being a fan of greek mythology, it was really cool.
Still remember when I heard his song 2020 first song I heard by him and to see him grow like this watching all his videos is one of the most inspirational come ups I've ever seen.
AYYY i hoped he wasn't being sarcastic when i saw the title in the notif cause it's fantano lmao, but I'm so happy he's liking and giving quadeca the props hope to work irl with quadeca fr
Seeing all these comments for contender of the Album of the Year makes me so happy. He has made it, after these years, he has made it. Quad if you are reading this, Thank you for making your music, Your fans are EXTREMELY happy for you
Quadeca no longer “deserves” the title of “RU-vid rapper.” He’s gotten super ambitious, and he’s not like Dax, Crypt, Scru, or anything like that, and he’s actually trying to branch away. I’m super excited for FMTY, and I feel like this song just gave him wings to leave the RU-vid scene, which is what I personally think is best for him. Good shit Benjamin Lasky.
Agreed. The only artists who I can say have taken their music to the next level away from RU-vid are Aries, Joji, Ksi (can’t deny the hits, he’s always top 10 in the UK); and now Quadeca. Phenomenal song
