Mothers are true Angels. My mother spent every day for 3 months in hospital and then 2yrs taking care of me after my motorcycle crash. I was in a body brace & couldn't move or walk for a bit and she would bring a kiddie pool and bucket and wash my hair for me in the hospital bed, helped me eat, get dressed, brush my teeth, shaved my legs & everything. She slept in a chair beside my bed for months daily, only left home to shower. I will never be able to repay her for everything she did for me. This video reminds me of that. I don't have kids and can't now so will never know what the mother child bond is like but it's apparent you & your mother have a very sacred bond too. I hope you never give up your incredible zest for life.

Lucky Lex lucky my mum doesn't give a shit about me i was really ill with blood poisoning and i had no help from anyone i had to go to the shop to buy food and cook for myself, if i died tomorrow i feel like nobody would care ive lost my will to live ive got no mental or emotional support at all from my entire family so be grateful

I'm a retired Home Health Aide, I work with Strokes patients then came home and work with my austic son this job is not easy. So much respect for this mother!!

I mean my mom almost put my dad in jail destroyed my older brothers life is trying to destroy me and the rest of my siblings life and doesnt really provide for us at all. Does this statement go for me too?
I'm in awe of you both. My husband and I and my brother are taking care of my mother who has alzheimer and dementia. There are so many times when we get so tired and I don't know where to turn. You have people that love you. Thank you for sharing this. I took care of my brother for many years on my off time. He had MS, And it took a toll on him. He was completely immobile. However, the highlight of my day was always hanging out and helping him.... BE grateful for your momma.... She loves you...

I have so much respect for people like you. I'm so blessed with my mobility that I think if it was taken away or even just hindered I would just sit in the corner of my room and brood and just be unhappy. But your outlook and just way of life is so respectable and awesome

So cool to see all the adaptive ways we find to live our lives as happy as we can be, as independently as we can. I worked for many years in the field of independent living with adults with "disabilities". It's so much better to focus on our abilities and continually do our best to expand on these. No one has it all, lives completely independently. One never knows what is headed our way next. It was such a privilege to help where I could, to brain storm how to improve their/our lives. Sarah Camley Yes she fights with a life, I see she is alone with so many daily problems, she fights for her son. My wife fights too but has easier. People look usualy on disabled but not on their families.
there's nothing amazing, this is just normal and the minimum she can do, wheter it's the mother, dad, brother/sister, cousin, someone from the family has to take care of him unless they want to let him to die, i'm pretty sure she's also getting help from home care assistant when she can't

You and your mother are so wonderful for sharing this. I really worry about your mom doing so much lifting every day. It takes only one wrong move and a back can break. That’s what happened to me working in a rehab facility and now I use a wheelchair myself. It’s been 50 years of daily pain. I hope your mom will always have help.

My husband is a quadriplegic too. I help him with everything and I love him so much been together for 2yrs and still counting. The display picture that I have now is our little boy our son 💑🐶❤

Thank you for sharing. I commend your mom for doing what she does. I know how difficult it is. I did this care for about 5 yrs in the Middle of Canada. It is what made me go into nursing. You brought back memories for me. It has been a while. I found it very rewarding. Thanks again.

I respect his mother for keeping him at home Wonderful Woman, daily exercises to both lower extremities helps a lot very important, he’s young could recover & walk again 🙏🏼
Your mom has much dedication and love for you. It takes time and patience. I work for a rehab hospital. We have had patients with spinal cord injuries that with therapy have had over time a good recovery. Zac, my heart goes out to you. Seeing you like this put tears in my eyes. My son also uses a wheelchair and is unable to walk but has full use of his arms - it’s a challenge as he also has gained weight - but as parents we do our best because of the love we have for our son. I salute you as I know what your mom does is done out of tremendous love. Take care mom keep your body strong too. Your son needs you healthy too. God bless you both.🙏

This will sound ignorant- but I had no idea that people who were quadriplegic (or paraplegic) spasmed like that. I was like, "wait, he's moving his hands and legs..." and then you explained what was happening. Learn something new every day! God Bless your mother for taking such good care of you, btw! Moms are THE BEST!
many quads and paras are "incomplete" which means they aren't fully paralysed so they can move their hands and/or legs but with varying degrees of reduced strength.
"Arlene S" this might sound ignorant too: but I watched the video and then read some of the comments and I originally thought that the lady was a nurse. I would otherwise have thought it was the young man's spouse. If she is his mom, the young man must not yet be out of his teenage years. The mom looks as if she is in her 20s.
Zack, I happened to stumble on this video and as a roughly new nursing assistant, I want to thank you for allowing us into your life. I really appreciate it because this video actually helps me more in the fact that I can provide better care for my patients and allow them to also be as indepependent as possible. My husband of 32yrs recently had a very bad stroke. It affected his left side. I basically have to do everything like this mother is doing for her son. It’s truly a blessing to have a good support system. May God continue to give this mother strength and support to care for her son. 🙏
I had a stroke !! I am a female and 52 years old... It was 2 years ago. I don’t hardly speak to anything but I can speak from my cellular... Praise The Lord, I want JESUS to heal me... It is a processing .................. God Bless You !!!!!!
This is an advanced lessson in learning to completely love another person. I have to focus on not to pity but feel comassion. Probably you are learning more than most people do in your life. You are just amazing!!
Mi hermana y yo llevamos 37 años cuidando por turnos de un mes a un hermano que quedó tetrapléjico por accidente, no somos madre de él pero yo le aseguro que lo estamos cuidando muy bien, él dice que ha tenido tres madres, la biológica ya hace 18 años que no está . Es muy sacrificado esto pero el amor todo lo puede.

Moms...we love our children more than the air we breathe. It blows my mind how many children push their Moms away. Look at this woman. She would never dream of having anyone else take care of her baby.

"Ma rio" This mom of a quadriplegic son is a standout example of devotion and true love, but we cannot pretend. It does not account for everybody. There are many examples of psychologically unfit moms.
After God's love, there is no greater love than a mother's love for her child ❤ . YOU GO mom 👩!!! God and your mom are the only two you can truly count on to be there for you no matter what happens to you. May God continue blessing you and your mom.
