Quadriplegics Talk About Dating When Disabled 

Hello there, been watching your workout videos and wanted to say thanks. I really enjoy them. I've been in a wheelchair since I was 18 (almost 12 years now) due to a car accident resulting in a t12 spinal chord injury. Although I can't walk that hasn't stopped me from dating my best friend after my injury then getting married to him, working, giving birth to two lovely little daughters who are four and two and now being a stay at home mom. My faith in Christ has motivated me to see my disability as an opportunity to share my joy with others. I have so many strangers/ friends just come up and ask me about my life and even though having a disability is hard physically and emotionally I love how I can share that just because my body is broken it doesn't mean my spirit is. Thanks for uploading this video it's encouraging to see others like me working hard to live full meaningful lives regardless of the hurdles we face. Thanks for all you do. Your channel is reaching far, all the way to this small town girl in the middle of the United States 😃

Hey Ben, hope you well. Great to see you doing different topics and being more free to speak about other stuff which is incredible. Keep up the great work i am sure you are encouraging other people in the same situation. I also think that people should look beyond a disability, you are not a chair and people should see others as human beings ...love has no colour, no disability or anytging else its a feeling.great video ..keep it comming :)

thank you for sharing this part of the video Ben! As this is the main part of my cerebral palsy that I struggle with I find it really hard to deal with the uunintentional\ maybe intentional selfishness of my ffriends or girls to accommodate my needs or look past the challenges my wheelchair brings there have been many occasions where my friends have said things that hurt and stick in my mind such as I don't want to be responsible for you on a night out for example so sometimes when I do get offered to go somewhere with them I make an excuse because unfortunately I know that's what they are really thinking as they have said it previously which has a lasting effect I'm very well liked I would say not arrogantly but there is a difference between that and having friends at the moment people just see me as a 'lovely lad' and any aspiring relationships don't really try to get to know me further probably because of fear of stereotypes I'm 19 you see so I think it maybe society issue with some people my age due to social media and wanting to appear popular etc. Sorry for the long winded message thanks for listening your videos and other lifestyle changes have really helped me be in a better place physically and mentally than ever. The next step is for hopefully the things above to fall into place for me 😃

Anyone able to give some advice on timeliness when dating someone in a wheelchair? I was supposed to have a video chat with someone and he messaged saying he was going to be a bit behind and would message me when he was home in less than an hour but now he’s going on two hours late. I definitely wouldn’t bend this boundary for someone who was more able bodied but what’s acceptable roughly?

Is there a good dating or social site in Connecticut for people with disabilities, Para or quadriplegics?

Quads who have injury these days are practically para due to advancement in medicine.
