Quadzilla Find | 1987 Suzuki LT500 

Shoutout to my dad for getting a 13 year old a new Zilla in 1990. Amazing that I'm not dead.

Even though its 37 years old it still looks awesome today.

I remember my dads buddy had one when I was a kid ( well, in my early teens ). He would NOT let me ride it, that was 30 years ago now lol. But it was the coolest thing ever back then and even now too! Still such a badass quad.

Take a piece of cardboard, poke the case screws through in the right order they won't fall out so you know where they go. I've been doing it that way for years. Works great

Told my wife I would almost trade my v- Strom 1000 for it! But you know I can't do that. Love those quads for nostalgia, and always wanted one, had a banshee, but never a zilla, or my own 250r. Way to go on the quick fix, there has got to be a different clutch lever available. It pisses you off too much bro, not that it wasn't funny seeing you get frustrated over it. I sense that it might have caused you to burn the clutch a little too. Still love it! Great footage from Sweet T.

For my blaster I took a piece of cardboard and made a diagram of the case with holes so I don’t loose or misplace any of the bolts

The God zilla is choice bro. Good find. That sound it has is like no other 2stroke. Luv how they sound. The powerband is where it's at. They were one of the fastest quads back then. A good run would be the zilla vs the banshee

You don't do much live anymore which was nice back then, u should do like live Friday nites or live Sat in the shop. Some of us like watching live stuff. Also I haven't seen the hole shot racing scene since b4 mullet left. That was fun to watch too. U should start that back up as well. I do understand you are already very busy with the family, the shop and making content for us. But wanted to put a few suggestions in bud.

Are the kick start bolt reverse threads? My LT 250r kickstarter is really wobbly but doesn’t seem to come out easy and don’t want to reck the starter shaft.

A Zilla my Nilla these rare beast are very rappy brappy responsive when tuned n stock .rode three in my life never big fan just nice to have big single cylinder 500 .still rather have stock banshee than any two stroke quad or tres wheeler ever rode ..that's just my opinion .any hoo thanks for kick ass content Jarod n the teaching of mechanics on your channel awesome to know I've learned so much knowledge cause I dig your show thank you my interwebs friend

When I was like probably 10 years old my buddy had one of them he probably got rid of it when I was around 13 or 14 but his was set up for circle track racing when his dad bought it me and him used to ride that every weekend and it was very dangerous kids that age we lived out in the country so we drove it up and down the road all over the place

Yami’s and shee’s for me but these things are monsters. Zilla’s are just finicky motors to work on and keep running right.
