Interesting video. While OKC is familure territory, I had wondered how Quail springs was fairing. Glad to see it is still hanging on, but it looks like it has reached the dormancy stage, where not much is happening, and everyone is just trying to hang on. Just as Shepherd mall, Crossroads, and Heritage park malls did before their end came. I would say, that as far as I know from keeping up with the news, Quai Springs is now the only mall where there has not been a shooting. (Even Penn Square has had multiple shootings). Still, sad to see them go under. How about dropping down to Penn Square and giving us an update?
The one good thing they have is that the arcade almost literally takes up 1/4 of ground floor. They also have The Blue Zoo, an aquarium that takes up what was once multiple storefronts. Things like that have kept it from getting too empty and seem to be bringing people in. But they definitely have several emptry stores in there, (I think one of the anchors was torn down and is now a gym also but not sure of that). Doesn't seem like it is in immediate danger of going down, the theater and various entertainment things they have seem to still be bringing people in. But I also have a bad feeling sooner or later one of the anchors will close down and likely not get replaced, which will probably be the beginning of the end at that point.
