Yea I don't enjoy the mode either. But I can respect people who are good at it. It's an incredibly optimized game mode. In 2010, all the best Clan Arena players broke down the most optimal strategies for every QL map, narrowing the maps down to very few positions. If a new player, for instance, tries to play other positions, especially if he is diving in alone, the match often drags out for much longer, whilst also causing the entire team to lose coordination. The team with the best map control wipes out the enemy with force of numbers, and proceeds to hunt the remaining player, who needs to be extremely skilled to go toe to toe with multiple opponents. Experienced players, especially if they own or moderate the server, can be very unforgiving of anyone who backs out too early from positions, or attempts to go solo.

It is for Quake Live since it’s an older game it doesn’t really benefit from going over and actually hurts it ways I’ve forgotten.
