In this animation we explain what a quantum bit (qubit) is and why a quantum computer can be better than a classical computer. We describe our vision of how to build a quantum computing circuit using light on a chip, which is our plan for the near future.

This looks like how www.xanadu.ai created their quantum computing unit using light. Excellent video and explanation! I'll be conducting more research into this version of quantum computing, because it seems the most feasible out of all the ones I've seen so far. Based on its physics, it also makes the most sense to me, physically and monetarily.

Perfect real world use case of quantum computing explained. By harnessing quantum entanglement you can send data across the world or to Mars at the speed of light. Imagine instant Skype calls to Mars with no lag or delay.

Неплохо, неплохо. Интересно, информация, содержащиеся в кубитах будет храниться в стандартных средствах хранения информации, применяемые сейчас, или же будут разработаны новые форматы?

Genrix Straus Хранить кубиты в существующих средствах хранения невозможно, для них будут необходимы совершенно другие устройства, которые будут позволять поддерживать квантовое состояние достаточно долго. Пока что таких систем еще не существует, есть только возможность поддерживать кубиты на протяжении самого вычисления (минуты). Но для квантовых вычислений это не критично - данные все равно вводятся «классическим» путем, и результат вычислений тоже должен быть «классическим», что бы его можно было использовать людям.

Why does being in a superposition enable it to take a shortcut? That seems like a pretty drastic and unexplained logical leap in this video which, correct me if I’m wrong, I think is incorrect. Isn’t it actually that the superposition would enable a quantum computer to compute down all the paths at once rather than one by one? So the analogy would actually be something like comparing a bunch of cars having to go down every possible route to just one car, perhaps animated as a sort of ghost car, which can be in a superposition of itself travelling down all the routes simultaneously?

Whilst quantum computers do work with superposition states, it is not as simple as computing all paths at once because when we measure the final state, it collapses to a single measurement outcome and we cannot extract all the information that was contained in the superposition state. A good approximation is that quantum algorithms exploit superposition and entanglement to realise a different kind of computational logic, allowing them (for problems of the correct complexity class) to reach the correct solution in fewer iterations. This is the idea behind the "shortcut" in the video. I hope this helps.

phisical vapor depositions, superconductors materials (to make resonators to make the special ordered identical phased polarised coherent light OR sensors) !? interference meters to make inputs outputs that they didn't show in this video, etc.

with strong PCs comes stronger protection but unafortunately hackers will also have these strong PCs...so it also brings better code cracking abillities and that's an issue which will remain, the only thing which can really solve it is if you just never put your files on a PC with online access..so your most important files must simply be stores on an ever offline PC.

Not really. Security of quantum communication can rely on quantum cryptography protocols which are developed (and proved) to be robust even against attacks of eavesdropper possessing a quantum computer! This is known as unconditional security of quantum protocols.

I wouldnt trust it too much tho. anyway what's certainly more safe than this is like I said putting your extra important files on an offline pc or an external hard drive.

how we can know if the photon will travel at the wire we want?or how we can control it?the superposition "breaks' when the come close to one another but dont we need to entgle them in order to get results ?

We can control at which wire a photon is going to travel by initially injecting it in the right one. We bring two photons together in superposition to entangle them since initially photons are not correlated when injected or generated.
