I’m glad you have that treasure! I wish I had done that, I remember my mom’s hands looking like my grandmom’s, just the shape and thinking those hands did a lot of hard work in order to give me everything I have. Isn’t it beautiful we get to attach memories to photos and all see something a little different. ❤️

I just started balling my eyes out!!! My now 16yo daughter, Georgia, had some time with my grandmother (her great grandma) when she was 1 1/2- the video I have chokes me up! She is also touching my grandmas skin! Georgia also did same thing With my mom. I’m just trying to treasure every moment I have with my mom these days. Thank you, Paula. Love you.

One of my friends on a holiday when all her children came home had bought a huge stretched canvas. She bought acrylic paint in colors she wanted and she had each person paint the bottom of one foot and the palm of one hand and place it on the canvas leaving a print. including her an her husband. When it was dry she hung it on the wall going up her staircase. That family was now immortalized by prints for all to see. I thought that was just the most Amazing unique Heirloom.

Love that you use the bread in the bottom of the pan. It was one of the "tips" I learned at my bridal shower so many years ago. Our dogs always get it as a real treat!

I never knew any of my grandma's. Those with them treasure the time. Also, I'm fifty years old and lost my mom at forty and my dad at thirty. Don't take that time with them for granted. They can be gone in an instant.

Paula you are absolutely incredible!!! Your quarantine cooking videos are my absolute favorite show to watch on youtube. They are easy to follow, comforting, engaging, and the foods are OUT OF THIS World delicious! During quarantine I had missed all of our restaurants, including yours, and I needed something to make me have the drive to cook and you hit the nail on the head with the quarantine cooking. I have missed human interaction and man you make me feel like i'm sitting in your kitchen with you with your personal stories and you down to earth personality. Please keep it up because I am learning so much from you and about cooking and now the foods I bring to potlucks and family dinners are the best!

Happy Birthday Aunt Peggy. Paula, ma'am...you had me crying when I saw that picture. I miss my grandmother so much. I remember touching her hands and smelling her perfume White Shoulders. But every now and then I just smell that perfume and I know she is watching over me. Love goes on forever my dear sweet Paula. Xo

I just love you Miss Paula! Thank you for being so genuine and real!the last picture we took with my mother in law before she passed too soon before her time and suddenly last year was a pic of our hands in hers🙏🏻I went from giving her manicures to wishing I could’ve gave her just one more! Just shows us how precious life is and how fast it goes by...we just have to cherish everyday with our loved ones and never take our time with our loved ones for granted 🥰

That picture is absolutely amazing 😍. I helped do my 20 month old nieces hospice care and after she passed we got a picture of her hand in my sister's hand and I was cradling both their hands. That picture truly hit home.

Miss Paula, I halved and made this meatloaf last week for my sweetie and I. We polished it off in 2 days. Hands down my favorite meatloaf thus far. I even loved the crusty fried bread at the bottom. I'm definitely going to keep this recipe. I'm thinking of adding some jalapeños next time. Thank you so, so much for this keeper!!!

Good morning Paula...love love love the meatloaf recipe💕and can't wait to make it for my husband!!! I must share that when my mom was near passing my sis and I were standing next to her when my sis laid her hand on my mom's and then I laid my hand on my sister's hand...just like when we were little girls and mom played that little game with us...my brother in law came in and took a picture of our hands....it is beautiful Paula...still stirs my heart ❤ when I see it...my mother passed away that day... We were so blessed to have her...our mom was a nurse, she worked in surgery and raised my sister and I with no help from our father who we never had a relationship with. Life can be tough sometimes but it toughens us up and helps us to appreciate how truly blessed we really are❤

Ok so I was a little nervous making this cause there’s no egg and sour cream but I tried it anyway and it was Amazing, my boyfriend has loved his mother’s meatloaf and I could never compare until now lol He said this was the best meatloaf he’s ever had and it really is. I can’t believe it’s as simple as it is but taste like you put a lot of time and effort into it lol Thank you so much this will be a staple in my family for now on

Making this tomorrow. Girl, I can’t do the bread thing, lol. Texture issues with bread, lol. I’m putting a rack on a half sheet pan and will put parchment on top of the rack and poke holes in the parchment for the fat to drain. Can’t wait to try this!!!

Happy belated Birthday Aunt Peggy. Good idea to put bread at the bottom to absorb the grease. My sister in law makes a 12 layer chocolate cake and gets lots of orders for it.. she lives in South Carolina. That is a beautiful picture Paula, it does need to be framed.

Aww the hands pictures are so precious, I love it, thanks for sharing, it's such a powerful message showing the long road one had traveled and the one the younger generation has to travel. You are Michael are soooo precious together, it reminds me of me and my hubby, I'm always reminding him before he leaves for work to make sure he has his mask and gloves with him and I pack him his dinner, he works the overnight shift at Walmart. That hand picture reminds me of a picture of 5 generation hands. My mom's mom, my mom, mine, my son and his daughter who was about 4 or 5. I almost cried when I saw your picture. My grandma was in her 90s. Thank you for sharing that picture.
