With regard to KV Mahadevan, this is one of plethora of songs that fooled me to identify whether it was MSV's, just like the confusion I have had with regard to Kannadasan vs Vaali. This confirms that Tamil music was blessed with not just one but several others who have contributed to the glory of Tamil film music. For me KVM is very special for his exclusive contributions to Devar films starting from Thaayayai Sollai Thattadhe and on. He gave us Sirithu Sirithu Ennai sirayayil ittai, a very special song in my life.

Three cheers to Pooja for her sweet sharp voice and for recreating susheeelamma’s magic after karnan’s song performance this one gave me full satisfaction

Puja sounded so fresh in this old number, thanks to the composer, playback singers and the instrumentalists (both the original and in this episode). One hears a different KVM's composing. Nevertheless his signature is there in one place....i think the thabla beat in one of the charanams. KVM normally plays such beats even in the film playback music which are very catchy to the audience. One such beat i still remember in Sankarabharanam, when Manju Bhargavi, comes to offer her respects to shankara shastri, immediately after performing her dance on the seashore to Shastri's classic(al) swarams and aalapana....SaRiGaRiGaPaDhaPa....SaRiGaPaDhaPaGaRi. (Hope the swarams are right).Enjoyed very much this episode. Thanks to SST a lot.
