You should do a LOCKDOWN CHALLENGE, where Max picks 10 items from the house, 5 from the pantry and 5 from the Fridge/Freezer and SAM has to make a dish or 3 course meal with the items
I've learned so much from you and the most valuable lesson is "use what you have." Keep staples and good seasonings, herbs and you can make anything delicious.
Crushed biscuits and melted butter pressed on bottom, a cream cheese and dessert cream mix on the biscuit base and a melted chocolate and cream mix on top, homemade heart attack cheesecake, you can also add nutella in the cheese layer, only of your health allows you
Sugar...lol. I don’t crave sweets very often so usually I just go out and buy something whenever I want it. But since I can’t do that right now I’ve been eating a spoonful of sugar whenever I get a sweet tooth lol.
Truth Hurts we’re a little spoiled here. We can walk to the closest. And three others nearby including a brand new one with a huge food court with several Korean street food vendors.
You know you've come a long way as a cook when... you added the water to the pasta I was thinking to myself..."he should of used chicken stock" but...then you added bouillon. For the tuna dish I was thinking "I bet lemon juice would of good in this" but..then you added lemon zest. Touche sam 🤝
You know,I've been a chef for a short period but gave it up to pursue my poker career partly because i lost motivation for chef job. I still cook at home and love watchin some chefs on youtube but since i recently discovered you,in all honesty I'm pretty much done with all of them.. From what i get you're not a professional chef but you embody everything a chef should be:professionalism, goofyness and fun, just pure fun and joy of cooking and you sir are quickly becoming my favourite youtuber! Much love, stay safe and hope you got enough supplies of those paper towels ;)
I recently did a podcast with Sam and we talked about how COVID-19 is affecting his business, how he is getting through these tough times and we also talked about "lockdown" recipes. Just a little something extra with SAM sprinkled all over it! thebbqcentralshow.com/bonus-content-sam-the-cooking-guy-locked-down-whats-a-guy-to-do-and-cook/
Yes! Blue Cheese ALL DAY! Although, the rest of my family doesn’t like it. There’s a little family owned ice cream shop in my neighborhood that makes a pear 🍐 ice cream with ribbons of fig jam and blue cheese crumbles. It’s amazing! 😉
Today's lockdown to do list: Smoke a Bowl Make Pasta dish Eat Pasta Smoke another Bowl Contemplate the meaning of life Give up & watch the Office for the 4000th time Eat more, smoke more...you get the idea
I learned to just add flavor at every level. For that I am so thankful. I just had half a head of cabbage and 1lb of frozen ground turkey. Thats all that is left at the store when I get off work. Everyone else gets to shop all day at the 'stay at home' order. I work in an essential job so i just get the scraps. A little soy, some garlic, pinch of cayenne, cummin, sesame oil. so goood.
Sam it’s so much easier for you to get what you need because your restaurant is down the block. For us regular folks were screwed we can’t find shit anywhere. Still love the videos makes my day.
"For health reasons we're staying at least 6 ft apart" *proceeds to swoop right up to his face to trim his soul patch hairs right onto the finished food*
Next video "Lockdown Drink Recipes" staying in one spot for this length of time with kids and your spouse, can definitely have you wanting a drink or three lol
Was so thrilled to see you do the pasta with tuna!! As an Italian woman, I appreciate this!! I make that often, and exactly like how you made it! I will be making it in about an hour from now! Thanks for all these great pantry shows!
just in case y’all in the comments don’t know it takes two ingredients to make homemade pasta! flour n eggs! the stores haven’t had pasta in my town for a while so my nana gave me her recipe!
I don't think you will even see this but here goes. I have been watching your videos for years. Really love them. Could you please do a video or better yet a series for the single guy "or girl". Of recipes that are easy and great to freeze the left overs for latter? Most of your recipes seem to be intended for several people. One where they are intended for several meals over several days would be FANTASTIC. Thank You.. Oh and I love blue cheese.
@@alexandercanella4479 it's been over a year now. It was rough but I bounced back faster then my doctors have seen in anyone in a long time! I am doing very well thank you!
i happened upon some pepper steak that i have never made before...i added some classic sam seasonings...cumin, honey, garlic, adobo, oil...let it sit for a few hours...was amazing...
Sam. My wife and I found your channel a few months ago but did not start trying your recipes until your Lockdown series. We’ve made two of the Asian chicken recipes and now this tuna pasta...I’ve damn near eaten the whole pan of it myself tonight (rigatoni noodles and Muenster cheese, cuz y’know, it’s what I had). AMAZING. Thanks for sharing your no nonsense style of cooking and simple recipes. Btw, your tip for flattening out chicken breast when you grill was a game changer. Thanks again and consider us hooked (and subscribed).
To imagine I never would’ve found this channel if it wasn’t for the episodes on Weld.com where they built the Santa Maria grill for him!! Definitely one of my favorite cooking channels now!!
These all look very good, especially the tuna and spinach version. Spinach is also fairly easy to grow your self, + gives you something to do as well. Oh, and eggs mixed with some sambal? Fry 'em to put over your fried rice, amazing!
Sam and Max will get us through this crap storm. Stay safe guys and keep the videos coming. A little levity and some good recipes is what we all need right now. Thanks!
Love your channel and love the current series, this is how we all ate growing up in ‘60 and 70’ , I brought home a couple cans of frozen OJ and when my daughter put them away she asked “What’s this” I couldn’t believe it
I stumbled across your channel a week or so ago and just wanted to say I appreciate it. I made this spaghetti pie for my family this week with some leftover angel hair and they loved it. So thank you! Stay safe and eat well.
Also yes I love blue cheese! At first I could only stand like one crumble on a whole burger but now I'm like, "Cover the burger with it and melt it up and also bring me a side of it" so Ive got the melty side of it and the regular crumble side. Food porn for sure.
Awesome episode my friend. I’ve made one meal that you showed and it was excellent! So this will be the next I make for the misses. Stay safe gang! Excellent editing, Max!
How about a Potato or Rice Lockdown show? Chances are people have those in stock at home. Or how to flavor bland food with whatever is in your liquor cabinet. Yea. Cooking with Booze...Lockdown edition. Let's do that!
8:18 What type of person thinks; "Here's a great idea, let's cut facial hair, right in front of the dish, that the host is cooking." Answer, someone with idiotic tendencies.
I like blue cheese. Especially blue cheese dressing on buffalo wings. Anyone that puts ranch on wings is a terrible person and you shouldn’t have them in your life
Blue cheese is soo delicious. Especially on a steak. Plus these recipes are easy to make and don’t require anything crazy. Going to try one of them tonight.
Hahahaha! I'm sorry, but I saw the name of this video pop up on my notifications and couldn't stop laughing. Namely because, since we had some ground beef that we needed to cook last night and I had some made from scratch marinara sauce left over, I made lasagna and hand breaded mozzarella sticks for dinner. Well, modified lasagna at least. I didn't have any ricotta, but I did have some leftover blocks of feta, parmesan, and romana with a little cream cheese and a ball of nice mozzarella to bring it together. Great minds think alike! When in doubt, pasta is always the answer. - Unless you have to try and find it at a store these days.
Thank you for this pasta video. Just so you know if everyone in your house is staying in the house isolated from everyone outside except for going for groceries. You don't have to stay 6 feet away from the people you live with. The problem would be if any of you goes out and mixes with the general public and that person brings it back in the house. After you go out for groceries put your clothes in the wash and take a shower. Take Clorox wipes with you and was down your whole cart and when you get home while down all the plastic jugs and tin cans before you bring them in the house. If you keep your house like a bubble and no one leaves the house except the person buying the grocies you will not be bringing new germs in the house.
all looked epic and I'm sure sooo delicious..when I was younger I used 1000 Island dressing on my salads...Now, only blue cheese because it has the flavor I've grown to absolutely love..thanks for posting guys!
Sam, I'll betcha a little sprinkle of red wine vinegar in that pasta/bacon/red onion "one pot" would add a nice twang to it. Looks good and it makes me think of the multi colored cooked pasta used for a pasta salad...you can add about anything to those too.
