GERMANY: It is very similar here. Everything is closed, except from supermarkets, pharmacies and stuff like that. We are only allowed to be with our own household and only see family members if really necessary. Only two people can leave the house together unless it's family. My boyfriend and I have been staying inside for over two weeks now and only left the house a few times for groceries or a little walk. But it's sad to see how many people here in Germany still meet friends or family without being punished or seen. I still see groups of people outside and police is trying their best, but I think they are way more tolerant here than in other countries.
POLAND: all closed except groceries, pharamcies and post offices... limits on how many people can be at the same time at the bus, in the shop etc. We can walk outside but max 2 people unless we are with our family. Staying calm, hoping for better, preparing for worse...
*CROATIA* Small country near Italy So we have the strictest measures by Oxford in Eu or world idk for small country as we are we have around 800 cases.Everything is closed: every job,school,traffic and if you want travel from one place to other you need to have some pass if you don't you have to pay 30 000kns( 4 000€) except pharmacy and supermakerts(they have certain working time)only one person can go to shop and in supermarket is limited number of people, you can go out if you want walk a dog,in big cities you cant walk in small you can but alone...

CANADA: Hi Emi! All of the schools closed about two weeks ago. Our university final exams will be done online which is quite stressful! Our government acted really quickly and took good preventative measures I think! Most businesses have closed and only essential ones remain opened with strict schedules and restrictions. Just excited for this to be over so I can go hug my friends and feel safe again!
AUSTRIA - Hey Emi & Gerard! the situation here is the same as in Spain or London.Everyone tries to stay home and the streets are empty. Thank you so much for your videos!(I tried your makeup routine today).I alway try to dress up nicely in the day so that I don't forget that I have to get up and start my day as usual.
FRANCE: We can go outside just for 1 hour max and 1km around our home. We need an attestation and can only do necessary shopping like food & medicines, go to doctor appointments, have a little walk with a dog or go for a run. Otherwise, we have a fine of 135€, policemen drive around the city to check
CRETE,GREECE: We are quarantined for 20 days, nothing works, apart from food stores and pharmacies. People go out for food shopping, walking their pets or for outdoor training by senting a message -as a permission and proof- and only by having their ID with them. In my city (Chania) there are no cases and we try to keep it like this since the rest of the island has some cases that are verified. Jordan: Hi Em, so in Jordan it started around 2 and a half weeks ago as Spain, and for the first week it was super strict, no one was allowed out at ALL, all supermarkets and pharmacies were even closed. A few days later they opened only for deliveries, and the most interesting part is if you don't have an official digital paper from the government to deliver items, then you will be jailed. I thought it was very strict but I honestly worked. Thank God the numbers have now gone down drastically from this strict lock down. Now, many shops are open from 10-6 with more freedom to walk around, but no cars allowed yet. I hope you are safe with Gerard in London xx
LITHUANIA: We are having quarantine here for 3rd week already, everything is closed, except pharmacies and supermarkets. Most of the people are working online, from home, so am I. We can walk outside, but the maximum is 2 people together. Most of the restaurants are offering delivery, so that is nice if you are sick of homemade food and want something new. But yea, can't wait for everything to end and to live a normal life again as well as to travel safely
CHILE: It´s almost all closed. Despite of the schools and universities are not working. There some cities that you can see a lot of people on the streets. Because the government only declared quarantine for some cities in the country. Has died 14 people. I think the most serious think is still people who think that is just "a simple cold". TURKEY : We don't have any 'curfew' thing generally but over 60 and under 20 years old people are not allowed to go out. We are not as bad as Europe, still 430 deaths. I hope we will be okay so soon.. Love watching your vlogs ❤️

I am in the US, in Los Angeles and we have been in quarantine for 3 weeks. Apparently we are now in the peak.. so this week it’s very very very important to stay at home, we have to avoid supermarkets, drugstores etc. Also in LA beaches, hikes and parks are closed. I feel it’s a bit harder here for people to understand they just stay at home because of the lifestyle (they are very active, most people love outdoors activities). Please post more often 🙏🏻 love u!
SOUTH AFRICA: Our country is also currently under a 21 day lockdown until 16 April. No one is allowed to leave their houses unless you are going to the supermarket or to the pharmacy. Everything else is closed and you need to have permit if you are two people in a car. Our number of cases are not that high, but they are trying to prevent the virus from spreading to the impoverished areas of SA because they do not have money to get the necessary healthcare and their houses aren't suitable for practicing social distancing.
Yeeah new video!❤️ In home I always wear joggers or leggins and blouse/sweater/t-shirt and cardigan - I can't wear jeans at home 🤷🏼♀️ It's so uncorfontable. In Poland we can only go to the shop, pharmacy, work or walk with the dog, nothing more and poeple under 18 years old can't go outside without parents.
HI Emi!! I really like your vlogs from home they are very relaxing to watch. I personally like to get dressed in the morning, it kind of makes me feel better and everything feels more ''normal'' :) In belgium, since 2 weeks now, everything is closed except essential shops, we can go out for a small walk with the people we live with. It's very important to take it seriously and the faster we act and stay home and respect the rules, the faster we can have a normal live again. Georgia, tbilisi, everything is closed except for groceries and pharmacies, there are limits how many people can walk together (max 3), we work from home, we are in quarantine, and we cant go out from 21 to 6 in the morning (by decission of our goverment), it all started in Janyary, for now totally we have 117 ill people and 23 already recovered, no deaths yet. Symptoms may be sore throat, caugh or temperature, and pneumonia, one of them or all of them. If you have strong immune system you "ll get over it easily, byt it is dsngerous forl old people or for people with various diseases. Please stay healthy and continue vlogging for us 🥰💕
NORWAY: I work as a postman during the day, in the evening I am mostly at home. The schools and kindergarten are close, and a lot of workers is having home office. People are encouraged to stay home as much as possible! If we go out for a walk or to grocery store, we are encouraged to keep a distance, and wash our hands frequently and carefully. PORTUGAL: Hey, regarding coronavirus: we are allowed to go to work (only the people that cannot work from home), groceries/pharmacy but everything else is pretty much closed. There are always police cars driving around town and patrolling the exits/entrances from cities. Some cities are in total lockdown - nobody goes in/out of them, only doctors/nurses/supplies/etc can go. There are loads of elderly houses ("residencia de mayores/ancianos") affected which is super worrying, but to prevent the spread everyone who works/stays in those houses were tested and according to the results are separated ! We cannot test loads of citizens has our supplies are very limited, as most producting countries are not distributing because they also need it. I wish we had the capacity to take in spanish pacients in critical conditions!! :( Spain is so much worse than Italy!! Let us unite for this
NEW ZEALAND - whole country has been in lock down for 1 week and we were told minimum of 4 weeks. Most people expecting it to be longer. Our borders are closed except to NZ residents or citizens. You can only associate with people you live with (we call it your bubble) and you can not associate with any other bubbles. Older people have been advised not to leave home. All businesses are closed expect for essential services. We are allowed outside to go to the supermarket (1 person per family) and for a walk/bike/run around our neighborhood. Our government have been so proactive and really proud of how they’ve handle it! They have offered so much financial aid to people who have lost their jobs/work. For the most part people are adhering to the lockdown rules but definitely some people who have no regard for how serious this is.
SAN DIEGO, CA: All non-essential businesses are closed. Grocery stores, banks, and restaurants (for take out only) are open but have limited their hours and limited the amount of people allowed inside. A lot of grocery stores have tape on the floor showing you where to stand so you’re six feet apart. Some have also started to install plexi glass windows in front of the cashiers. The roads seem a lot more empty, but I have seen a lot of families walking their dogs around the neighborhood. It is recommended that everyone wear masks when going out.
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: restaurants are closed, but allowed to do takeout/delivery. A lot of parks and beaches are closed, but some are still open. Not everyone is taking the shelter in place seriously, but some are. What are you favorite spanish songs/what songs did you translate? I am trying to learn some spanish during the quarantine!
AUSTRIA: the situation here feels surreal, like a movie. Complete lock-down.. schools closed, universities closed, companies and all shops closed except for supermarkets and pharamacy.. Nobody is allowed to see friends or in general people you don't live with, which is the hardest part. But the situation is not as critical as in other countries, that is something positive and keeps motivated

NETHERLANDS: Supermarkets, pharmacies and a lot of shops are open. Some shops are closed, for example big warehouses or popular brands. But in the smal towns there are a lot of shops still open. People are still going outside a lot where I live.. It feels so double this way. But also a lot of people are staying at home, and as I speak for myself I try to be carefull as I can. But while doing the groceries it is really hard not to come close to someone else, because it is so crowded in the supermarkets.
I'm from Italy and tomorrow it will be 1 month for us since the quarantine started, and even more from the social distancing period ! so sad, I want to go back to normal, and I'm sorry for all the ill people and deaths .. also, wanted to say I love your videos and I've been watching you for many years now
KOREA : People are relatively calm, leading careful daily life(exception of closed schools and universities) with almost everybody wearing micro-filteres masks . Relatively controlled rate of patients. Each district inform citizens the number of patients and where they have been so to avoid those placese via text messages . No assemblies and gatherings because it was those few who decided to ignore precautions that cause the initial major outbreak. Being responsible is important. And of course, it's sweat shirt and pants for me at home!
JORDAN: the country is basically locked down, we are only allowed to walk to small supermarkets to get the basic groceries from 10 am till 6 pm. No cars are allowed unless the person driving has an approval. The good thing is that the number of cases each day does not exceed more than 10 persons

GREECE: everything except the super markets and pharmacies are closed and you can’t go inside unless a worker lets you in,until then you wait in a line outside which is huge because we have to be 2m apart from each other,in general you aren’t allowed to go out unless you send a text to a number the government has made for the occasion,there are 6 numbers that you can type in the message each number represents a certain reason to go out eg.for personal exercise/pet walk,for the elderly there is a paper they should fill in if they want to go out of their houses,if you break this law (which now doesn’t happen very often-we’ve taken this very seriously-) you pay 300€ and if you have been ordered from a doctor to stay in and you don’t you pay 5000€ (all the money are spend for hospital needs),the police is always on the streets so everyone now walks around with the message and their ID card,I have to admit that my country is a pretty unorganized country but they reacted so quick that we have prevented the things that happened to Italy and Spain,we have about 2080 people with the covid and sadly 93 dead. Hope it gets better for all the countries.
HUNGARY: Schools and unis are locked down since 16th of March, a lot of people who can work from home are in home office (just like me). Government introduced further restrictions last Friday, like elder people can only go shopping between 9 and 12 AM. There are about 500 cases in my country but everyone thinks it could be much more. Government is not much of a fan testing bunch of people. In the beginning it was devastating to me that i cant go to work for so long, because I love my colleagues but now it's ok. LOve from Hungary!
NETHERLANDS: everything is closed. Only supermarkets, pharma stores are open. We are allowed to go outside for walking, jogging etc, but we have to keep a distance of 1.5 meters and it is not permitted to meet more than 3 people. However, I think that most of the people are staying at home.
FRANCE NEXT TO PARIS: third week of confinement and basically every thing is close except grocery shops and pharmacy! We are not allowed to go in the forest, we need to go out within 1 kilometers around our house for 1 hour max and the fine stars at 135€ and if they catch u several time it rise seriously...But so far so good personally, it is super sunny and I have a garden and i live in the country land in a very small village so it is easy to go for a walk or run in the “nature” Spending my time studying while waiting to know if exam or gonna be cancelled or postponed or more likely on internet...but the situation is getting a bit better, people are becoming a bit more civilized....big issues in France ! Southern California, US: schools, university are closed. Stores are still open for groceries and the pharmacy. Beaches and parks are closed. Reinforcing to stay home and if you need to go out to stand 6 feet apart from others. I work as a nurse so the hospital is getting busier and busier. We are wearing surgical masks when we work.
Belgium: You are only allowed to leave the house for groceries (but only one person per shopping cart/household) and for work. The only good thing is, that you are also allowed to go outside for a walk or a run. I'm really enjoying that to the fullest together with my boyfriend. As I live right to the boarder of Germany and normally do my groceries over there, because there is a bigger assortment and better prices, i'ts quite a big change for me.. I really hope it'll find an end really soon..
QATAR: everything is closed except groceries and pharmacies. Students are doing online classes and lots of jobs are doing the same as well, i don't know how i feel about it but i'm trying to be positive that this will end very soon and everything will get back to normal. Love you emi :( stay safe!
SERBIA: Everything is closed except supermarkets, pharmacies and post offices, but it is limited to a small amount of people that can be in it at the same time. There isn't a public transport atm and all the schools, kindergardens and universities are closed for more than 3 weeks. We can't go out from 5PM to 5AM on weekdays, and from Sunday at 1PM to Monday no one can go out.
That is very sensible, the time curfew makes a lot of sense. We don’t have that in England. I went to the supermarket at 8pm the other evening, hoping for it to be a quiet time, and loaded up my trolley with as much as possible to last a week for my family and I see other people out, just buying little things. One guy had two cases of water. That’s not essential groceries! Our tap water is perfectly fine to drink here. People are really risking catching the virus for themselves and spreading to others who are vulnerable. It’s selfish and I’m sure our lockdown will get tighter when the prime minister extends it next week (he’s currently in intensive care with coronavirus but responding well apparently.) It’s likely our one hour of exercise will be taken away too as people were sunbathing in the parks in London last weekend!! 😩😤🤬

BELARUS: We have more than 150 infected people. Unfortunately our government deny the pandemic as much as they could. This is the most hardest time in our country. Citizens are divided into two capms: first -they believe and trying to prevent spreading of the covid-19; second - they this if we have vodka in our blood we will survive🤦🏼♀️ I hope the situation will not get worse due to lack of control. JAPAN: I'm not Japanese and I'm only here for work. They all wear masks but it's very typical for Japanese people to wear masks. However, they don't pay much attention to the virus like other countries are doing. This scares me a lot!! Portugal: Only the essencial stores are open. People are staying at home. In general, people are taking the recommendations very seriously. We feel that the right thing to do is to stay safe at home, hoping for better days to come!!...
THE NETHERLANDS: here they called our lockdown a ''intelligent lockdown''. We are able to go outside, but we need to avoid public places with more than 100 people. Otherwise u get a fine ticket. Also we need to keep our distance (1,5m). We need to wash our hands every time we get home and the catering industry and event industry is closed. Schools are closed and almost everyone is working at home. I only just knew your video's but i love it already. Stay positive, be safe and be strong! X
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: only supermarkets and pharmacies are open, we had a quarantine until April 3, but as nothing seems to be improving, the government has extended the quarantine for 15 more days, also people can only go out till 5 p.m. till 6 a.m. and only to buy necessities, I have since March 18, almost a month, without leaving home. Stay safe 💛

NYC...All stores are closed with exception of essentials grocery/ pharmacy. Starting to get strict here b/c some people are still not following the stay at home mandate. The parks are still crowded w/some people playing basketball 😐 and other sport related activities. I don't understand how some individuals continue not to listen and put other people's lives as well as themselves in danger. Our government officials say it will only get worse. 🤐 So, they've started closing down the parks where these activities have taken place. Love your videos and hope you and your family continue to be safe. At this time we all can use a bit of escapism.
scheval146 this had to happen in London too. We’ve recently had beautiful, sunny weather so people went to the park to ‘exercise’ which involved sunbathing and playing games!! Silly, silly, people. They moved on when police appeared but what they didn’t realise was that the police were also keeping an eye up in the sky in helicopters so they could see quite clearly where people were densely gathering. The very next day the park got shut down. Honestly, it’s not asking much to just STAY HOME for a few weeks until the death tolls lessen. No one is missing out on everything, we’re all in the same boat. It’s not as if all friends and family are out enjoying their freedom and they’re stuck indoors...no, life is on hold for everybody. The selfishness is unreal. Looks like our lockdown will be extended next week - we’re on our first three week phase right now but I imagine we’ll be following Italy and Spain and getting even stricter for the next phase where we can’t do our hour of exercise per day because these morons ruined it! CZECH REPUBLIC: People, who can't work from home are allowed to go to work, but everything is closed except from supermarkets, pharmacies and stuff like that. We have to wear masks, but it scarce commodity, so people in all Czech Republic make our own out of cotton. It's also allowed to go for a walk in nature but no more then two people if they're not your family members.
GEORGIA- situation here is pretty good we have 117 cases and 0 death! government is taking this really seriously. Whole country is quarantined no more than 1 person in the pharmacy, max 3 people in the car (2 in the back) laws like these really prevent the spreading.
PERU: We've been on a national lockdown for weeks now. I came home on a humanitarian flight back from the US and was put under governement enforced quarantined in hotel rooms for two weeks. I wasn't even allowed to go to the hallway, they would leave our food outside. At the end of the two weeks they tested me for covid 19 (i came out negative)
UKRAINE, KYIV: We have been quarantined for 32 days. Everything is closed, except from supermarkets, pharmacies and stuff like that. You can go out on the street no more than 2 people. All work mainly at home, and there are few of those who go to work by public transport. The transport can be no more than 10-15 people. The metro was closed 30 days ago.
I know this is outdated now - but I wanted to respond regarding covid anyway ,,,,,,and I love your videos so much , really so uplifting and happy so for CANADA and HAWAII Hawaii - Sept to present day = people are sad and the mood is somber. We miss the international visitors (Japan and Australia etc.) People wear masks literally everywhere even in the outdoor malls....and do so without complaining.
