It’s great that you are teaching your children to work and learn about every day life so they can become self sufficient when you are older too. So many children don’t know how to cook, work or do anything because they are only watching television 24/7.

There were 10 children in our family. After each meal we always said I enjoyed my dinner, breakfast and ALWAYS pushed our chair back under the table. We also took turns doing the dishes. My 3 children did the same. I truly miss those days
Cinnamon rolls look wonderful. Oops on dropping the beans lol 😂. It happens...Would love to know Priscilla’s dough recipe for her cinnamon rolls and exactly what she does, like how much of what and how long did she cook them at what temperature? you guys are the prime example of dealing with CV19 and still enjoying life. As with everything in life, it's how we deal with it. Sad and prayers for families who have lost loved ones and jobs, but we will still overcome. When you spilled the coffee it made me think that as a 78 year old the older I get the more I drop and the more I have to clean up. My friend says that's God's way of making us get more movement in our lives. Enjoy your videos and I have read many books about the lives of old Amish life. As a Methodist I do admire those folks greatly.
Joas, I had an egg dish in Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands. The café had an espresso machine like yours, they scrambled eggs in a cup and frothed them like you would the milk. Best eggs I've every had, no fat added. Were incredibly light and fluffy.
Your homestead and family are absolutely beautiful. So refreshing to see what a Saturday entails at your house. Joas gave a whole new meaning to the phrase "spilling the beans"! That was really comical. My favorite part of the video was when the children helped with meal prep, and then you all prayed together b4 eating. Wish I had one of those plump cinnamon rolls. They look yum-o!
Just an FYI, if you keep your egg shells and bake the shells @350 degrees for about 10 minutes to kill any bacteria, then grind them down to powder and sprinkle a tsp in your shakes, smoothies or whatever you prefer for your own calcium intake as well.
One of the things that I feel is so great is the children and how they work right alongside the parents. It is just amazing how much we can see all the good in your family...what a wonderful example you truly are a very special family. ❤️🙏🙋♀️ your faith and love ❤️ of God shows with a special feeling of God’s presence in your home and on each of you.🙏

Oh my goodness. I am a new subscriber and I just want to say I love your sweet family! What an awesome place for your kids to grow up. My husband and I have been married 44 years and have lived on our homestead here In New Mexico for 40 years. A couple of years ago our son, daughter in law and their five kids moved into our home and we moved next door. Our acreage is small only 7 acres but we raise cows, goats, chickens, bees and pigs. We have a huge garden and put up a lot of food. They and their kids are helping us with the place. I love watching you teach your kids how to help around the place. I just found you guys - have needless to say, been binge-watching. I was raised to respect the Amish and their ways. For years we went to "Amish Country" near Arcola, IL. They were such sweet people and let us into their homes to buy eggs and other items. Some of the items we bought we are still using - about 20 years later. Your children are sweet - some young people today could learn some good life lessons from your younguns. Will be watching you!

I enjoyed this video so much. Look at all of that yummy food. I love that all of you helped in the making of dinner. I loved seeing the blooper that happened with the coffee beans. I can appreciate the waste not, want not mentality. I can't wait to see the next video. There are not many wholesome shows to watch anymore so this is one of my new favorite channels. I know my 6 year old and I can watch it safely and I won't be subjected unexpectedly to swearing or inappropriate behavior AND y'all are dressed well. Thank you so much.

Showing all the different things in your life is what keeps it interesting. And who said that you can't have both a healthy and absolutely amazing meal at the same time! And I see a lot of people complaining on social media because they can't go out and do what they used to do but I also see those that are taking this time to truly enjoy and spend quality time with their loved ones and I am truly feeling blessed and thankful for this time to spend with my loved ones as you all are also doing. Is it ideal of course not but you have to make the best of what hand we are dealt and I believe that a lot of us are going to look back at this time in our lives and yes there will be some sadness for a lot of us but there will also be happiness and fond memories of the extra time we got to spend with our loved ones which will make it all worth it. And I totally agree with you and your message at the end! There's a lot of people with many different religious denominations that will be fasting and praying for this virus, our world leaders and all of those involved and affected in these trying times on Friday the 10th I would like to invite all that is willing to join us in this weather you're religious or not, thank you.
