Come along as we take you on our trip with us! We had such a good time seeing friends and family and visiting Priscilla’s old home place! The reason for this trip was to do a puppy trade with someone who lives in Pennsylvania!

My brother lives practically within walking distance from Shady Maple. Although we are not Amish, we consider Lancaster County our home. My brother has spent 48 of his 50 years in the county. This brings back great memories for myself.
This 2021 video came up to me and I am from Lancaster PA. It was enjoyable to see you at Shady Maple, which is a very familiar place to all of us in Lancaster PA. I came to Lancaster from Western PA in 1959. I am 80 years old now. I love living here. I drove Amish ladies for many years to the store and to visit relatives. I have crossed that bridge over the Susquehanna River many times on my trips back to Western PA. My friend volunteers at Blessings of Hope each week. I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much for the tour! I just returned from a 3 day stay in Lancaster County. I love it there! My brother-in-law works at Shady Maple, so I’m real familiar with the lay out of the restaurant and gift shop. My grandpa and grandma grew up on neighboring farms along the Susquehanna and our ancestors who came over from Switzerland to escape religious persecution, founded the first River Brethren church. (Jacob Engle) I didn’t grow up there but I feel like I’m going home every time I visit. Love your videos ... I’m hooked on them!

That trip was very nice to watch. It is really good to see places of yesteryear and family that are still living on the land we new of in our youth. It's amazing how good the pets were. No barking and very well behaved for traveling. Very nice of you to share your trip with us. Lord bless you both and your wonderful children. And all the other family members.

Well that took me down memory lane. I'm bedbound now but I grew up in Lebanon County (Myerstown) and we had a one room schoolhouse on our property that my Dad turned into a week end flea market. He would have loved to get hold of that vase! What a lovely trip and adorable pups! God Bless you all.
@@annehoyle3581 I worked in Hershey once I was old enough to drive and made the drive many times over 422 through Annville. It is all beautiful country there. I married out west and lived there a while but we ended up coming back east 25 years ago....back to the roots.

A wonderful trip. Parents need time away from their children every once in awhile. Glad both of you could go. Loved the quilts. Especially the one with the hearts. You can tell lots of skilled work went into each one. I live history too. Especially family history.

It is great to see that you have a video that covers some of your past, but I think it is greater if you can wright a history of what you were able to learn down.
I live in Central PA ... love Lancaster and Shady Maple! You were not that far from where I live. While watching this I see you were VERY close to my house!

Have probably been to Amish country in Pa. 50 times. I love it there, food, sites, countryside! I probably have 5 quilts from there, all quilted by the Amish in the winter months. Most of them I picked the fabrics and paid for them over the winter in installments, and picked them up in the spring. I love your videos and this one was especially special to me. I love persimmons, my Grandmother had one tree here in Va. This was a nice trip for us too.

Awwwwh such an addorable Twilight, that is the kind of puppy my grandson needs, he is allergic to puppy's and I have been told this kind of puppy he may could handle. Wish he had one, he has never had a puppy because of being so allergic. Looks like you both had a great trip. I just love you both and I have enjoyed so many of your vedio's. God bless you both!❤

I love your channel. I live in southwest Montana. We are from York Pa. We moved out here 24 years ago. I grew up around Amish and Mennonite people. I miss it but with all thats going on in the world I'm glad to be out here in the mountains. Thanks for sharing your trip and the puppies. God bless !!!!
...! i remember eating Scrapple when i was younger and all sorts of Pennsylvania Dutch cooking.. Lebanon baloney, dried corn, blood sausage, limburger cheese...we would visit Lancaster county each summer to visit family. I grew up in a PD household, but it was only by traditions.. We had Hex signs over the garage door, and my last name was Gensemer.
I miss PA. I was born there, I lived there was my parents until I was 5 years old. Then in 1999 my husband and I moved back to PA. We lived there for 6 years. We lived in Lewisburg, PA. We haven't been in 16 years. I keep hoping one year we can get back there. Thank you for sharing

I wouldn’t be able to resist those puppies and I know John would end up with one. We lost our Cairne Terrier about a year and a half ago and I just couldn’t get another one.
