A great example from Northern Greece of a terminated Quartz crystal with Actinolite inclusions on dark green Epidote crystals. A top quality specimen from the locality that gives the best Epidote crystals in Greece. Most specimens that are extracted from this locality are below average and damaged. It has been reported that this occurs due to the fact that during the heavy winter, water runs through the cracks on the host rock, which freezes when temperature is below zero, thus damaging the crystals. This crystal specimen is among the better quality specimens.
