Man the English casting for Quatre is becoming more and more of a mistake as time goes on lol. Maybe pay attention when Japan uses a female va for a character with obvious identity issues guys.
There are a few directions they could take things given Quatre's introduction in Daybreak 1 (where Van asked for pronouns). Either they'll change the VA to a female, keep the VA the same and maybe have them speak a bit more feminine, or they'll try to take liberties and make Quatre trans or non-binary? Who knows at this stage what they'll do
@sheridanmovieguy If we're to give the benefit of the doubt then they might not have thought much of the japanese casting choice. They use women to voice male characters often after all. They might not know all of Quatre's backstory yet and only had Daybreak's script to go on which doesn't reveal much.
Quatre's estrogen levels SPIKED?🤣Oh noooooooooooooo! Although I'm not sure how I feel about the reveal of his hermaphrodite body being mostly sided to connect events after the fact and only to make him the butt of the joke for the audience
Is actualy boths female and male both quatre sees himself as male because his body was more male than female, as he stated in this video his body was only 10% female bu now increase to 60% make him curenty more girl than male, he is this way duo to the experiments that he suffer
@@mcburn344Whilst I sympathise with you, it's not like that here. Kuro 2 spoilers (in case anyone hasn't played it): Quatre was experimented on by a cult before he was born in order to make him both male and female at the same time. They believed this would make him the ideal vessel for a divine entity they wanted to summon into the world.
@@fraserodonnell7618 I believe he's referring to the body he is used to. In Kuro 2 you find out he is essentially intersex but developed to be predominantly male. However now that he is also developing female traits, he needs to use medicine to make his body return to what he's used to.
He is exactly like Kuroumaru from UQ-Holder, Kuroumaru also turned into an angel and by having feelings, he had to choose between male and female, just like Quatre that is an angel of both sex... Falcom is running out of ideas it seems... Yeah, he has feelings for Van as female... Yet, Agnes reseted those feelings when she was rejected 🤣🤣🤣
They talked about this is kuro 1, in the bath scene. Quarte was only one with his own bath for a reason. Because quarte is trans, and it's not even his fault. Now i am afraid that when english release for daybreak 2 comes out. Lets hope it flies under the radar because, twitter will make a big deal about it. Btw its not woke from what i have seen. I havent played kuro 2 yet. I had a feeling from the start quarte was trans thought.
@@Zuyaha Not quite, he isn't trans. He is closer to intersex. He is both male and female at the same time. He only chose to be male because initially his male features were more predominant. Calling him trans would imply he started out one way and wishes to be the other, which isn't possible because he started out as being both at once.
@@MinhLe19303 From what I know about Quatre's backstory I see no issues. My worry is with how the localizers choose to go about things in Kuro 2 once they learn it. Will they give it to us straight like how his story is in the Japanese version, or will they take liberties to make Quatre into something he's not? You never know nowadays with more and more bad apples slowly popping up in the localizing/translating business.
@@animesoul479 Yeah, I can see the worry. The drama in early 2024 have examples confirmed that Trails localization by NISA had have censorship and butchered translation.
