The Que Club was a music venue in Birmingham, England that was famous for hosting many well-known bands and club nights. As well as hosting famous acts, the Que Club became a centre for alternative culture, including the rave music scene.
The Que Club was located in the Grade II-listed Methodist Central Hall in Birmingham. The venue was opened in 1989 after the building was purchased by Rod Stewart's former manager Billy Gaff.

Sorry me again. I've tried to find some footage of the organ being played but the sites about it are thin on the ground. Imagine if it was a little bit older than 1903 before electricity and was all mechanical. It's from Germany apparently and - get this - has TWO THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED pipes!

@@sodnpoo Fnaar Fnaar. Go to Hamburg and treat yourself to the gated street of temptation that is the Reeperbahn. Germany's equal of the one in Amsterdam. Just in case I've gone off topic here, es tut mir leid! It was a dry as dust report in the local paper which led me to nothing more than "The organ came from Germany in 1903 and has 2100 pipes." If you go to the Reeperbahn they won't let you through the gates if you're with a female.

The Q club was, and always will be the best rave venue in the midlands. House of god, Atomic Jam, Ultimate Orange and Cream to name but a few. Carl Cox, Danny Rampling, Joey Beltram! God I do miss that, 53 now n still up for it at the Q x

Went to some great raves there. Atomic jam. Last time I went was 2002 a d&b night headliner was roni size.

For my day job, I get to work on the house of Parliament refurb. Which is cool. Everyone is very invested In making sure that the history of the building both architecturally and engineering wise is identified and maintained. Yet here we have the que club, with all its history. Left to rot, and no one gives a shit! Hopefully after your vid, brum Council will realise what they have.

Used to go to Hardcore, Spacehopper, Atomic Jam, Flashback nights in this place it's a f****** ridiculous waste how they shut down this club then left a grade two listed building to decay into this state in only seven years, the c****

This was the most amazing club ever, so sad to see it like this. It doesn’t seem right that it’s in this state, it doesn’t feel like it was that long ago we were having the times of our lives in here 😢

My dad was regional chief estimator for Hall&Tawse and for Tarmac for a while. He compiled a tender for the renovation of the building, knowing I spent many a night sweating and doing the "little fish, big fish, cardboard box" there. He said it's a miracle the floor didn't collapse with us all stomping on it, swallowing us up and sending ravers, DJs and most of the main room at least, down into the basement never to be seen again.

All those metal organ pipes missing from those racks 😔 scrappers most likely, they aware made of an alloy so don’t have much scrap value. It would cost a fortune to replace them, if you can find anyone to make them. What a waste

it was the best club of all time. People came up from Bristol. Liverpool, Manchester to experience the best techno club on the planet. Up to 3000 ravers rammed the place with incredible sound, lighting and theatrical performers. Being there was like you were in another world. Sadly,, youth culture is long gone

Was a shit load in. We used to have to carry all the PA system, lighting, staging EVERYTHING up those stairs. Some great nights in there!

At 8:04 they enter 'The Chapel' area. Which was at least 2 fairly large rooms and was occasionally opened along with the rest of the club for some events (I recall a Space Hopper in '97 for example). Sometimes, smaller events would take place just in The Chapel. With the main hall closed or hosting something else. But the majority of people who have been to The Que have probably never been inside this other bit.
