In this video I talk about how I think of the function of top bracing in an acoustic guitar and how that influences specific aspects of construction as I work from a thinned top to a top that is ready to begin voicing. Then I detail how I cut brace blanks and prep the blanks for glue up starting from a slab of Sitka spruce, in a mix of video and narration over stills. I also talk about making and gluing the bridge patch and soundhole reinforcement. There you can check out info on workshops that I offer as well as pictures and recordings of some of my guitars, and a little bit more about myself, Aaron. Thanks for watching (and reading)!
If you liked this video, I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider making a small contribution to my channel. It takes a lot of time to make even a simple video in my workshop and just a few dollars here and there really helps me to continue making these in the future. You can send a contribution directly to me through pay pal here paypal.me/QueenCityGuitars thanks!
