Victoria was beautiful and had had expanded her empire and Elizabeth was cunning and smart with alot of experience whilst watching the reigns of Henry VIII, Edward VI and Mary I. In my opinion Elizabeth wins by a mile
Victoria was also sexist and believed women didn't deserve any rights. She said and I quote that women who wanted equality were "heinous beasts." And she believed that only women who inherited power were worthy of it
Queen Elizabeth I was a badass potentially was the most powerful queen in british history. she held off against the spanish, she made the arts of british absolutely flourish, once she became queen, england got richer and richer. she did all that without a king there to help her. when people said she should get a husband, she declined and became an independent queen with full authority. she served the greatest reign of 44 years, in england as the virgin queen. she also was a genius, she could speak multiple languages and she literally defeated the spanish navy who was one of the most powerful countries at the time. she was very fierce and strong along her criminally short reign.

Queen Elizabeth is the tougher one. She was single being a queen and embraced singleness at a time, people pressured her to be in a " couple" Queen Victoria is my favorite. But she reigned later on together with the brilliant Prince Albert who loved her unconditionally. The power couple made good decisions for their country.
Also with her being forever single did help in diplomacy as most kings didn't want to go to war with her as maybe she might take my hand. The craziest offer she got was from Ivan the terrible of Russia for her hand
Ah yes, the dilemma as an Indian hits hard. But Queen Elizabeth I formed the East India Company long before it took control over India. So I won't blame her. Some other men took control under the Company... And Queen Victoria...honestly on her defence I don't think she would have rejected the additional title "Empress of India" being the monarch of the UK that time, I mean, nobody would have rejected that title if they were in her position, as the monarch.
@@srijeetasikder2678 hmm that's a really good point. I guess it is what it is. There's some of our own people to blame like Mir Jafar but I guess if England did not take over, maybe France would one day.
@@srijeetasikder2678the portuguese were worse than the British I heard during the colonisation period of India and they forcefully converted alot of Hindus in Goa to Christianity
Yeah but who knows how many times Elizabeth was almost killed. Her father executed her mother and disowned her. Her sister jailed her and saw her as a threat to her rule. And that's not even including the beef she had with Mary, Queen of Scots.
The clip is from the 2007 movie Elizabeth: The golden age. It's the sequel to 1998's Elizabeth also with Cate Blanchett in the titular role. You should watch both movies.
Definitely Eliz 1. She didn't marry or have kids. She survived as a a great queen. And versed Mary Queen of Scott's. Also she didn't start the British Rule over India
The only thing is that she had Mary Queen of Scots executed. Elizabeth made her life so much harder. Mary finally had a child, and James was taken away from her when he was only a few months old because England took her into captivity for 21 years. This is because she was suspected of being apart of the tried assasination of Elizabeth. James could have saved Mary’s life before her execution, but he refused because he would lose the English crown, and he simply just never knew his mother. Mary’s last wish was to be buried by her first husband Francis who died of an ear infection, but she was not granted this. They instead left her in her coffin for months before she was buried, and was finally put to rest in Hanover in England. After Elizabeth died, they put her coffin on top of Mary’s. I understand Mary wasn’t the best queen, but I wish they would have shown her more respect.
@@aboutlove7750 I don't mind monarchy, but that's because I don't really give a flying fuck about it, I liked Queen elizabeth II but that's just my opinion. Let's just say I don't have human decency then ay?
History I would go with Victoria. Elizabeth did have the "golden age" but Victorias reign was known for so many things not to mention most modern day dynasties can trace their lineage back to her.
Both did great, but Victoria reigned wiser. Elizabeth’s life was a quest to prove herself in league with Kings. Any technological upgrades she brought were for this primary objective. By the last 3 decades of her rule she’d bankrupted the economy for her own glory. Highly capable but not very good or wise. Much longer and she’d have been deposed. And her ways set a very bad example to rulers who followed. Glory hungry rulers whose main care was stocking and replenishing treasuries for conquests, while giving people the bare minimum, and displaying monarchical virtue through reckless pride or arrogance.
Yeah I think Victoria was better The empire was in its greatest extent during Victorian era. Queen Victoria was the queen of the largest empire and hence, the most powerful woman in history
@@gauravsussy4853 Victoria was less capable than Elizabeth, but had better domestic and motherly smarts aside from postpartum depression. And those domestic smarts gave her reign a stable form of domestic success, and a controlled/merciful/heartwinning form of foriegn conquest. She was really good for her role, despite being decidedly less intellectually capable than Elizabeth.
