@@freshstart4423 The USA in the 17th, 18th and much of the 19th century was multiple years (even decades), behind the leading fashions of London and Paris - the two fashion centers upon which they based all of their styles. So what an ignorant remark. Yes, France has greatly influenced European women’s fashion, but that is not to say other influential European nations such as England or Italy were in any way “behind”; when they have each contributed a huge influence to fashion in their own right (much more than the US ever contributed to in its short history). You’re also completely ignoring men’s fashions, of which, British tailoring has set the international standard for centuries. Another thing to mention (seeing as you commented this underneath a video about the Queen), is that the fashion of Queen Elizabeth II has had to adhere to specific Royal requirements and therefore follow a more traditional aesthetic - meaning it has not been heavily influenced by passing fashion trends (this does not represent all of the people within her kingdom). She is a timeless and enduring figure for the world, and therefore her fashion is to be represented as such.

The way he explains is graceful and charming that you are automatically drawn to it. I love his voice and choice of words, very elegant.

This was absolutely amazing - so well done. Would listen to Hamish go through fashions over, and over, and over. Bring him back for more! Princess Margaret? Princess Diana? Other people who have passed and cent do their own?

I love when he says with some restraint, "Perhaps not her finest sartorial hour." My favorite Queen era was her last. May she rest in peace.

Mr. Bowles is intelligent, well-spoken and very entertaining. His criticism is honest and kind and not mean or petty. I also appreciate that he thanked HMTQ at the end. I recently watched a YT video (I don't know the year of the video) of him packing up his NY apartment because he was moving back to London and I loved it. He gave great details about his belongings and he was very amusing! It's nice to watch a video of an intelligent person sharing his knowledge.

The queen is a classic beauty. Not modelesque but pretty. She's not too obsessed with gaudy outfits. She always wears understated outfits.

My 27 and I'd describe my personal style as: classic/timeless pieces with bohemian/hippie elements. Mostly neutrals and classic silhouettes with some jewel tone pieces. Textures like lace, denim and knits as well as patterns like florals and stripes 😊

Perhaps my favorite for Queen Elizabeth was in 1954 at a garden party in Sydney, Australia. She wore a fitted white lace dress, peekaboo toe heels, a gauzy hat and was accessorized with large double-strand pearls, elbow length gloves, and a white umbrella.
