You should watch it live from Montreal 1981 it’s part of a medley with Killer Queen Roger said he wrote it for one of Queens roadies who loved his car !! 😂

the Montreal 1981 performance seems to be the most famous one, but it's actually pretty bad compared to the one at Hammersmith Odeon in 1979, where Roger's voice is in much better state. He sounds out of breath in Montreal

Roger is such an underrated vocalist, he's incredible. His solo album "Fun in Space" is fantastic, especially the track "My Country I&II".

You should check out the acapella version. There are actually harmonies you‘re missing with all the instruments. I just love Rogers voice and your reactions. 😁

Queen still is a force of nature! I'm not sure if the story is true, but yeah, its hella hilarious though! The song was dedicated to one of their roadies, John Harris, whose car, a Triumph TR4 was the love of his life. Roger's rendition live in Montreal is awesome! Roger still sings this live in concert and the crowds go just nuts! Other studio tracks that Roger sings lead are "Drowse," "Loser in the end", "Rock it (prime Jive)", "Modern time Rock and Roll", "Tenement Funster", and "Fight from the inside". Over the years, Roger also sang lead live for "A kind of magic", "Days of our lives", "I was born to love you", and "Under pressure". Roger's backing vocals in the early years are just insane.

Oh you gotta see the medley of Killer Queen/I’m In Love With My Car live in Montreal 1981. FYI - Roger locked himself in a cupboard while throwing a tantrum to get this song on the B-Side of Bohemian Rhapsody!! 🤣🤣 Good ‘ol Roger!

I read that Roger locked himself in a tape cupboard . One of the studio engineers found him locked in the morning after. I love this song simply because I love Rogers voice so much.

Great reaction Doe to a great song by Roger, the harmonies are just beautiful and Rogers voice sounds like a finely tuned growling engine :-) It will grow on you like a lot of Queen songs. You should listen to DROWSE again Roger on vocals which is my all time favourite Roger song, i don't know why but the lyrics are so true to growing up.

One of Queens best. A classic. This song kicks ass! Rogers vocal is amazing and May's guitar rocks out. Roger wrote it for a roadie of Queens who loved his car. It's very straight forward really.

Yeah, I´m pretty sure Roger´s not a petrolhead and was taking the piss out of those beyond-boring blokes that think their car is more than a functional item to get you from A to B. It fits well on NATO though sandwiched between the vaudeville of Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon and the blissful pop of You´re My Best Friend. To me it´s all about the production. It sounds as huge as Roger´s Grease Gun.........

Hey Doe! Roger is so much fun. Such a loveable rebel. 😆 He took another (and IMO BETTER) shot at or sequel to this song called "Ride the Wild Wind" which is from the 1991 Innuendo album. Freddie sings this time. I think this other song makes Fred sound like he has 100 years ahead of him. I am a huge Queen fan and I have always hated this song. Either it's a metaphor, in which case it's incredibly demeaning, or it's literal, in which case it as gross af.
