Channel 4 started in 1982, using this concert to help advertise their new channel. But we had to wait until January 1983 to see it. This was the very first TV show I videotaped.
So often you see negative recollections from the music press archived from the era, so it's awesome to see genuine fans who have nothing but love to give
I still don't know who he is, but Freddie's in great spirits until he looks at someone behind which really pees him off... twice!!! Apparently, he's tossing and catching a bandage, before tucking it into his pocket, after partner Bill Reid bit his hand in an argument.
@@kurgan46 haha ok. I hope you had a great time. I just read in an article that the stadium was relatively new in 1982, so there was a maximum capacity of 40,000. I wasn’t sure if that was true or not. Where were you standing?? At the front , back , side??
@@srirahulpremkumar1600 I wasn't particularly impressed with the venue. It seemed to me to be just a huge dug out pit. I thoroughly enjoyed the concert though and the sound and lighting was great.
@@kurgan46 that’s amazing man. I love queen so much. They are my life. I’m literally listening to their album “jazz” 1978 while I’m typing this comment.
