I was lucky enough to see Queen twice, and this was a high point in the show. Love this band. Try out “tie your mother down”…. Another great song from Queen.
This is such a fire rock song live. Brian wrote this song about the band's first tour where they opened of Mott The Hoople. The tour was Europe and North America and the only time that Queen would tour without being the headline band. They were really well received on their tour with Hoople which is why they were asked to go on with them to the US. Unfortunately Brian fell ill and Queen was unable to finish the last part of the US tour.
Hey Shawn…. Someday, maybe you could also watch this one at Wembley in 1986. (It’s just so much FUN to see how they “expanded” over the years from these smaller venues, onto the GIGANTIC stadium arena stage… and Freddie STILL fills it up!)

(I haven’t watched a lot of late 1970s Queen, because it was my impression that video/sound quality THIS good wasn’t available, until quite recently… I know there’s been remastering/upgrading being done nowadays, so I’m just wondering what the SOURCE for this was?)
hi Marcie this is the only show with video and audio(that isn't an audience recording) on this whole tour which is a shame. As The Crazy Tour is in my opinion Queens greatest live tour. The link is an upgrade and restoration but some songs from this show are missing video entirely which is a shame. But at least we have the songs with video from this concert that we do!
