My girlfriend was with me when I finished this book and as soon as I closed it she asked "what are you gonna do now?" And I replied with "I need to read it again." 😂 This was my first Cassie Clare book that I've been able to read as soon as it was released, so this feeling of having to wait for the next installment is brand new to me. It's torture. 💔

I live in Honduras, so on December 4 I got the Audible version, and ordered the hardcover edition. I finished Audible before the book got here. I got it one week ago and I am enjoying it again!!! And as well is the first book from Cassie that I read when it is released can't wait for next November or 2022

It was definitely a City of Glass moment. It felt less like an ending but more like a stepping stone? There were many loose ends and little seeds which I think will lead into The Wicked Powers.

Omg yes! Except almost all the month of November I stopped watching most of her Shadowhunters videos because I did not want to be spoiled (since I haven’t read any of them.) It was so sad to have to skip her videos during that time! Hopefully sometime next year I’ll be able to plow through most of the books!! WISHFUL THINKING🙃

Queen of Air and Darkness wasn't what I expected either. It ended up being my least favourite in the series I just felt like a lot was left not tied up which I understand since we have TWP coming in the next few years but I wanted a bit more closure! Can't wait for you're spoilery discussion!

Girl I read this book in a matter of two days after it was released and I LOVE IT. I mean, it caused me major emotional trauma and I suffered of major heartbreak, but Cassandra does that to you. I’m so glad someone else geeks out about this book series as much as I do.

Kinda Spoilers: It definitely was my least favorite book in the trilogy but I still enjoyed it. Emma and Julian’s ending kinda annoyed me because it could have been so much deeper but other than that I thought the ending was good.

My main problem when it comes to Cassie's books is that there's never a win-win situation -- like, obviously I have to read it right away, but then I have to wait a year or more for the sequel and/or follow-up series. And if I wait, that's another form of emotional torture because all I can think about the possibilities. I just need a daily dose of Cassie to maintain my sanity... HOW DO I ACCOMPLISH THIS?!?!

I watched this video when it came out, when I hadn't even finished TID or TMI (I was in the middle of Clockwork Princess and City of Lost Souls), and now I'm rewatching it a few weeks later after I have finished both TID and TMI, and am starting QoAaD myself, and I can bet you a million bucks I'll be returning once I finish as well. Did the same thing with your Lady Midnight and Lord of Shadows reading vlogs (and reviews). As soon as I finished the book I ran to watch your vlogs too see what connections I could make. It's made my reading experience so much fun, especially since none of my friends are particularly huge readers and the ones that are haven't made it to QoAaD yet.

SPOILER: please look passed this comment if you haven't read the book I cried quite a few times throughout the book but I balled my eyes out when Kit left Ty and Ty kept asking people where he was. For some reason them going their separate ways (at least for now) shattered my heart. I was heaving I was just so distraught over it. Just the idea that Ty feels abandoned and Kit feels like Ty never cared for him got to me. I still have to stop myself from thinking about it or I'll start crying again. It was a nightmare when I was reading it because I had to keep quiet so my flatmates wouldnt hear me sobbing and come check on me 😂

You've just made me start crying again 😭😭 Ty and Kit were genuinely my most favourite 'couple' in this series. I loved their friendship so so much and how Kit was always so understanding and protective of Ty and it broke my heart that Kit thought that Ty didn't care for him in the end whilst Ty was constantly so worried and confused about where he was. I CANNOT wait til the wicked powers.... 2022 is a long way away... :(

I have mixed feelings about QOAAD. I gave it 5 stars because SO MUCH happened in this book and Cassie just took the whole Shadowhunter world to new heights! But this definitely felt much more like a middle book than a conclusion to a trilogy. There are a lot of unanswered questions and unresolved plot points. Emma and Julian’s storyline felt anticlimactic to me, and I hope we get more answers in future books regarding the parabatai curse (I.e. why exactly they are no longer parabatai and have no physical repercussions after having so much heavenly fire burning through them). I’m glad these two got their happy ending and it was sweet, but I cared a lot more about Cristina-Mark-Kieran and Ty-Kit than Julian and Emma. My overall impression is: “I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS AND SO MANY QUESTIONS CASSIE PLEASE ANSWER THEM AND DON’T BREAK MY HEART.” TBH I was fully expecting to have my heart broken in some way, shape, or form by this book, and I didn’t! I just realized that’s what’s missing. Clockwork Princess is the greatest, most masterful and beautifully written finale ever IMO, and that’s because IT BROKE MY HEART INTO A MILLION PIECES BUT ALSO MADE ME SO HAPPY AT THE SAME TIME. I hope The Last Hours and The Wicked Powers step it up several notches and break my heart in a good way. I’m ready!

I was NOT ready for Thule! I agree that the epilogue made me mad! I still can't process it! I think I came off as a freak in my review because I can't handle this ending! I need TWP as well like as bad as I need air!! Thank you for introducing me to the Shadowhunters world this year, the readalong was the perfect opportunity to read all the books and it pushed me and now i am obsessed!

I just finished it too. I listen to them because I am visually impaired but OMFG! I do not care about James Herondale......GIVE ME THE WICKED POWERS! I need to know what happens. Also, James Marsters (aka Spike from Buffy) narrated both Lord of Shadows and Queen of Air and Darkness. I REALLY REALLY hope he narrates every forthcoming book. He is ab AMAZING narrator.

I loved the book except the ending. The way they broke the parabati curse, the giants thing, was such an anti climax. The Idris/ Zara ending felt a bit rushed too.
