For the Mark/Cristina/Kieran theory, there's already a hint in chapter 12 of Lady Midnight, because when Cristina sees Mark and Kieran kissing, she feels desire "whether for Mark, or for both of them, or just for the idea of wanting someone so much, she wasn't sure." This isn't evidence of course, but it sort of shows that she has always been open to a polyamorous relationship with the two of them.

When you said the thing about Ty stealing Livvy's gold chain, that made me think back to all the symbolism of gold chains in The Infernal Devices. In a lot of similies I noticed my second time reading through, they oddly compare life to a gold chain. Like, multiple times. And isn't the first book in The Last Hours going to be titled "Chain of Gold"? Anyway, its not important or anything I just think all the gold chain stuff is interesting 😂

While rereading Lady Midnight i found a part where Arthur tells Julian that he's a "good boy" but "it won't help him in the end" sooo I'm guessing he's either going to die or he's going to have to do something really bad in order to save his family or Emma... It totally sounds like Cassie to predict such a major thing on page 62 in Lady Midnight!!

What really has me stumped is the warlock “disease” going around? What Cassie has answered on the topic really hasn’t helped me figure out what’s happening, maybe I’m dumb or missing something? I’m so scared for everyone tbh but my baby Magnus has never been that ill and I just NEED to know what’s going on.

I think Livvy knew she was going to die after she got poisoned and Magnus saved her. This would explain why she told kit to kiss her then asks to be just friends, made sure kit wouldn’t leave ty, said that she hoped her and kit would still be friends not her kit and ty, and going to talk to Julian alone when they found out about Arthur. It was like she was giving everyone a little goodbye. I think at some point she told Magnus about her feeling like she was going to die but she couldn’t explain it. And because Magnus is amazing he helped her. Now in Clockwork princess, Magnus was trying to use the book of white is to try to cure Jem. It is described as a book for binding spells, tying the body to the soul and untying it. Remember this was in the London institute library and surprise surprise Magnus cures livvy in the library. I think he remembers the book from that time trying to save jem and uses it on her to tie her to ty. This will explain why ty put his hand over his heart when livvy got stabbed like he could feel the pain and why he passed out. If this were to be the case, then the only two people that would know about it would be dead and in a coma. This calls for character development. It will show us how the family deals with real grief and what lengths ty and Jules will go to get her back. (Will they turn to necromancy??) Also I think the warlocks being sick has something to do with the Unseelie King who they probably wouldn’t face off until the end of the book so Magnus won’t wake up to tell the world she’s alive until much of the book has passed. Also she was killed in the last 3 pages of the book. Even Jem who didn’t really die got more that. I feel there is much more to her death that Cassie is letting on! During my reread of CIty of Glass, Simon asked something like “was there an inquisitor that didn’t die a tragic death” and so my theory was that Dearborn would be the one who gets executed. Or just die a tragic death. I also have this very far fetched theory, but seeing that poster that Cassie posted with Julian and Emma having wings, and I know that there’s a lot of fan arts with other characters having wings. But my theory was that, the amount of power that Julian and Emma will have together could possibly turn them into angels, so in that way, they won’t have a sad ending but they won’t have a happy one either. Cuz like they’re not with their family anymore but they’re not dead

There's actually a really popular theory that this is an origin story for Julian or Jace, maybe both, where it shows how they became villains, so Clary or Emma could die. Jace has as much strength and power as Sebastian so he could become our villain in the Wicked Powers. Julian does say it only takes one choice to make you either a villain or hero. Julian has been heading down a darker path, so he could either keep going or turn around, it takes one choice. There was also an art piece showing Emma and Julian as angels, she had white wings, Julian's was black. Tavvy dying is unlikely because he's six and Cassie says he'll play a role again like in Lady Midnight where he helps Team Good. Tavvy is also a contrast character for Julian, he's what Julian would have been had the Dark War never happened. Tavvy is often compared to look like Julian, he enjoys painting, and he's the innocent childlike representation of Julian. Plus even though Cassie says The Wicked Powers will be the last Shadowhunter series, she also said there would be no sequel series to The Infernal Devices, and after City of Glass she was done. Both didn't end up being the last in the series. We could get a series later with Tavvy grown up along with Max and Rafe, and it would be an interesting dynamic, we could see how life is after the Wicked Powers through them.

I think another clue to the fact that the first heir ran away and married a Herondale is in Lord of Shadows when the raiders meet Emma and Julian in Cornwall and say while presenting themselves that they seek and find and that there has been only on thing they have sought but not found (to which Emma replays with "a sense of humour") - I think they are talking about the first heir here.

I had this theory that maybe Emma is the one executed by the cohort possibly for being in love with Julian or for breaking the mortal sword. Because Horace is now the inquisitor he has obtained Robert’s notes and most likely knows about Julian and Emma being in love. Cassie even said on tumblr that these notes are “essential” to Horace’s plan. I also 100% believe that Shade is Ragnor. Amazing video Emma!

In Mark's case, time was slowed down in Faerie BUT in Arthur and Andrew's case, time in Faerie was like 7 years or something but IRL it was only a day so time in Faerie moved faster which explains how Ash could be older

I'm curious about how you think Kit and Ty's relationship is going to progress in Queen of Air and Darkness. I know their relationship will be the focus of The Wicked Powers much more than it is in TDA, but I am curious about what will happen before the wicked powers to set that story up. I've seen some theories about them being separated? I'm just wondering about your thoughts because Kit and Ty are my basically my favorites in TDA! Anyways, this video was super entertaining, especially since I'm less well-versed on the world and politics of the shadowhunter chronicles.

Hi I just wanted to say I’m finally caught up on the shadowhunter books and! i! can! watch! all! the! videos! without! muting!!!!!

Aaah!! I didn't even think of Jia dying oh my god I have the same theory about Ash being held captive by the Unseelie King but my theories on Kit and Shade are quite different. Kit is the only known descendant of the First Heir, the child of the Unseelie King and the Seelie Queen (mah boy is related to Kieran and Ash aw) and I think that he'll have a power revealed in QoAaD that will somehow lead to him being in a situation where it's made clear that he has some sort of claim over the two thrones of the faerie courts. I don't think he'll end up actually ruling any of them since he's a shadowhunter first but I think it'll be made obvious that he has a right to them and he'll be seen as a threat. Since Eochaid of the Seven Riders recognised him I think we'll see the Riders of Manaan show up again because the King will want to get his hands on Kit for some reason. It could be possible that the one execution is of the Unseelie King if one of his sons get the throne like Kieran tried to get his brother to do. The only reason I think John Shade is the warlock Ty, Livvia, and Kit encountered in the Shadow Market is because they both are warlocks who have green skin and go by the nickname 'Shade'. I think it's a bit of a stretch to assume they are the same person since John Shade was killed in 1815 by Aloysius Starkweather and some other Shadowhunters but one thing the Seelie Queen said to Julian made me think that a comeback would be possible [ page 273 of Lord of Shadows]: '"It is a weakness of your king, to regard death as so final," said the Queen with glee, "especially when it comes to warlocks." Now that was in context to Malcolm returning but who knows? Maybe it's applicable to Shade as well since he didn't show the trio his face and wore a hood, perhaps because in 1815 he was decapitated. If he was decapitated, his head was probably kept as 'spoils' from battle, which Aloysius Starkweather showed Tessa in TID and perhaps Shade doesn't have a head right now? I'm aware that it's a stretch but who knows at this point. I love your video and can't wait for the others as part of TDA November!! Much love

I would also like to comment that during an interview at bookcon of this year when Michael from team Epic Reads was with Cassie Clare, she was asked to describe Queen of Air and Darkness in 5 words and she said: Twisty, dark, surprising, romantic cliffhanger. I don't know what on earth should I feel about the cliffhanger part but anyways I want to make my own contribution of my own theory in regards to the parabatai bond first of all. My theory is that Emma's power does not actually come her bond with Julian but from her sword Cortana. In LOS, uncle Arthur mentions about Cortana's origins and how it was already once broken because it was used for something evil or was about to be used to commit evil. This leads me to believe that Cortana might just be a cursed blade and that whatever power seems to be strengthening Emma comes from the sword and appears to be affecting the bond. In Lady Midnight, when Emma met her parents in the dream, her mother told her to keep Cortana with her all the time. But regardless of that, my constant observation when I reread The Dark Artifices was that the power seemingly comes from Emma as she always draws on her connection to Julian from when she was healing him in the car to when they burned down the chapel. I guess the better part of me would say that comes from the connection of their touch but I still have this feeling that the parabatai bond isn't at all what it seems to be. And that there is something else with Emma and possibly her sword to consider. And also, though I am afraid and do not want Diana Wrayburn to die at all costs, I have a gut feeling the execution could potentially be hers considering she's broken shadowhunter law especially in relating herself to the mundane world with the assistance of Catarina Loss. Her pretence and ultimately absence for quite some time could be enough to punish her for execution and charge her for treason/desertion. I would like to hear all of your theories for Qoaad too!!!

i have so many theories but if i write them all down it would be a five page essay. so the short version: i agree with you when it comes to ash being the seelie queen and sebastian's son, ty resurrecting livvy but not really, kierarktina being canon, shade being ragnor fell, jack crow being johnny rook, and nightshade as a former shadowhunter and even relative of clary (didn't think of the latter before you mentioned it but makes sense). i'm not sure about cameron dating zara. i can imagine anything when it comes to him, both good and bad. i would like a surprise good guy for once though! other things: - i have the wild theory that annabel and the unseelie king have been in a relationship prior to her death and that's why annabel is the unseelie queen. i have a long explanation for it too but i don't feel like it fits in a youtube comment. it's moments like this i wish i had a youtube channel. - cassie said something will happen and change in the shadowhunter world that was thought to be permanent, which makes me believe julian will break all the parabatai bonds. this could also make them execute him. i'm not sure if i believe the latter, but i definitely believe the parabatai bonds will break and it makes me sad! Death predictions: - won't die: the TMI main characters, Jem and Tessa, the confirmed TWP characters, diana (she's the only trans character, cassie won't kill her), helen and aline (she wouldn't kill them as they just came back and are the only f/f couple), Tavvy (he almost died in Lady Midnight), Emma (I genuinely don't think she'll die, it's a gut feeling) - will die: diego (i'm sure of this, do i even need to give reasons? you're dead, sorry, diego), annabel (i just don't see a version where she comes out of this alive), several unimportant and unnamed characters - might die: jia (because the open consul position), julian (i'm not very sure, i don't think he will at this point but if he dies i think he'll be executed for breaking the parabatai bonds or emma has to kill him for some reason), mark, cristina, or kieran (i think they'll be a threeway couple in the end but i won't completely rule one of them dying out), cameron, zara or horace (i think either both or one of them will stick around for TWP), gwyn (i hope he and diana will be happy but we know that his power is in his cloak and cassie doesn't reveal that for no reason, so maybe someone kills him or maybe he breaks some law and is the one executed), the seelie queen or the unseelie king (i feel like at least one of these two will die if not both. if they both live, i think at least one of them will lose their power/be replaced)

Remember that Cassie said that in QOAAD we will find out what “The Dark Artifices” are. What if one of them was that thing that Dru used to travel to Faerie that she found in Jaime’s bag. So what if the Dark artifices are objects that belong to the Rosales family (since they have this kind of conexion to faeries?), the same objects that Zara and the Cohort want to get their hands on 👀

Hear me out on this one: Clary, not Jace is the descendent of the "First Heir". Her last name is Fairchild, her family crest has wings on it as a symbol for Faeries. Clary and the Seelie Queen both have red hair. She is also the only Shadowhunter with ties to every branch of Downworlders. Her Grandmother's maiden name is Nightshade, probably relating her to Anselm Nightshade who is a Vampire. Her Step-Father Luke (former Shadowhunter) is a Werewolf. Her family's association with Tessa and Magnus align her with Warlocks. So why would her last name be Fairchild if there was no significance to Faerie?

The Shadowhunter world just literally has centuries worth of baggage. There's a lot to keep up with 😂😂😂

I don't think it's likely, and I don't necessarily want it to happen, but I honestly think the only way for this series to fully live up to its potential and for the stakes it has raised to be met, Julian would have to be the one executed. I doubt Cassie would do that and don't get me wrong it would SUCK emotion-wise but it would honestly be a great move and I equal parts hope and dread that that's what will happen.

I think that Shade is Ragnor Fell because at an event for City of Heavenly Fire at a point where it's mentioned that Ragnor is dead Cassie looks over at Josh Lewis who takes off his blazer to reveal a T-shirt that says "Ragnor lives" (19:05- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N6YU0ZsFhQY.html)

I think that probably the execution is Julian or Emma (just bc of the Annabel thing and that they were like the most involved, idk???) the funeral I’m pretty sure is for Livvy, and the wedding is probably for sizzy.

First Heir comment and spoiler for those that didn't read The Wicked Ones: The First Heir is not only the Unseelie King's child but also the Seelie Queen's, that is why the first heir line is so significant and I am 100% certain Kit's fae heritage will play a big role in QoAaD.

I think the execution is going to be Diego because on Cassie’s Tumblr she released a snippet of Diana saying something like “what is he (Horace Dearborn) going to do to Diego and the others?” So that makes me think that he’s going to be executed for sneaking Kieran into the Scholomance.

I like your theory about 'Shade' being Ragnor, but personally I think that 'Shade' was Tessa using her power to originally scout out the market. Although I could be wrong.

I believe that Alec is going to become the Consul at some point before the end of the shadowhunter chronicles. I don’t have a tone of solid evidence yet, but I can totally see it happening. 1.Alec becomes the temporary head of the London institute. Someone asked Cassie if this was going to become an important part of the plot on tumblr. Cassie said that it would not be very significant because Alec has a bigger job ahead of him which could be becoming the Consul. 2.Someone commented on Cassie’s insta asking if she could give us any information about whether or not Alec and Magnus will get married. She just responded saying “read QOAAD ;)”. Although it is legal for a shadowhunter to marry a downworlder, they can not have a traditional shadowhunter wedding, which is what Alec and Magnus want. Because Horace Dearborn is the inquisitor and Jia Penhallow (the current Consul) is basically powerless when it comes to downworlder rights issues it’s safe to say that that rule will not change until we get a new Consul. Jia has mentioned many times that she wants to retire. I’m not exactly sure how the clave chooses a new Consul but I’m pretty sure that the previous Consul gets to choose. If Jia can choose the new Consul it would make a lot of sense if she chose Alec. Alec is close friends with Helen and Aline and they have the same goal when it comes to downworlder rights. If he does become Consul, he will be able to legalize traditional shadowhunter marriage in between shadowhunters and downworlders. 3.There’s going to be a series about Alec and Magnus. Although most of the series will take place before QOAAD, a significant amount of it will be during and after. It would make a lot of sense for the last book in TEC to focus on Alec and Magnus and their affect on clave politics. 4. Jace nominates Alec for Consul and he has a lot of influence in the shadow world That’s basically it. Let me know if you guys have any more evidence. I just really hope this happens.
