This song makes me so bad and sad for all the millennials out there. They missed the 80s. But thank the good Lord I was born in the early 70s and I was there. I miss those days so much. Rock on my 80s friends.
Iron eagle was 1 of my boy hood fave movies , i still think iron eagle today and top gun are awesome if you like adrenalin movies and still today i love the first iron eagle and i was born in 1980, the other 2 wernt as good as the first, and i will watch top gun 2 when i can, but it will never beat 1 ,usualy always the 1st out of sequals are the best, even rocky but i love all the rockys but 1 is the best close with 2 at the back...
I made my kids watch this movie and listen to the music reinforcing my patriotism. They all turned out to be rather above average achievers in their chosen fields.
Watched this movie in the base theater at Loring AFB in Maine along with War Games. Doesn't get any more 80s than that. We didn't realize how good we had it back then.
I was a 8year old boy and a friend of my father had "Iron Eagle" on a Video disc, looked a little bit like a vinyl record ^^ I wasn't allowed to watch the movie, cause i was to young.. But he gave a audiocopy of "One Vision" on a cassette to my oldest brother.. That was the first time i heard the song and directly loved it :) Thx for accompany my youth till now ✌🏼
I *LOVED* this movie growing up - watched it countless times. Soundtrack is brilliant too. But rewatched it last week - 30 years later. And amazed at how ridiculous it is! I mean REALLY over the top absurd, terrible plot line - even for a movie - the kid outsmarting the intelligence dept especially! lol. But still great memories!
I was a teenager in the 80s. My friends and I loved this song and the movie! One of my friends who loved fighter jets especially loved it. It’s one of those songs that just got your heart pumping right from the start.
I feel the same about a lot of movies I rewatch expecting to really enjoy them lol. I get sentimental enjoyment and some laughs at least. I watched this movie a lot as a kid, looking forward to watching it with my son even though he will probably realize the absurdity way more than I did lol.
Perpetual Student I am the leader of a America fighter squadrons and I will destroy the first 05 strategic targets beginning with your biggest oil refinery do you understand this is Iron Eagle ( iron eagle)
After seeing this movie when I was a kid I was hooked! Blue Angels, Thunderbirds shows I watched every year at Moffet airfield in CA and now live near Nellis AFB and I see F22 raptors f16 even B2 stealth bomber occasionally goosebumps every time! Fried Chicken!
A killer song to a an awesome killer movie from an awesome killer group queen. Freddy took his time on writting the llyrics and the sound is spectacular.
Still remains my fave queen record of the 80s followed by under pressure, who wants to live forever and a kind of magic radio ga ga and I want to break free don't come close apart from when they were played live!
Doug: Hey, Chap! I got something that'll help us make up some time, so keep the channel clear, all right? Chappy: This _ain't no game, I'm tellin' you_! (As the opening of _One Vision_ plays): _Oh_! I could get used to that!
@rounder421 I have to agree, first Queen song I actually knew for Queen. I love how Freddie hams it up in the recording studio as much as he did on stage. That man knew when he had a camera on him! The best fun!
I remember the director saying this movie is going to be one of the best jet fighter movies and will be so for a long time......too bad the next movie to come out was Top Gun...
iron eagle > top gun, top gun has very stylish visuals and soundtrack which i like alot , but iron eagle is to me the better and more entertaining movie
yeah i like iron eagle.. but i cant watch it back now and not see all the flaws,, its a nice movie but top gun felt alot more realistic and serious.. but hey 1 person vs entire army can be inspiring
True, BUT he's still right. It *IS* one of the BEST jet fighter movies and still *IS*. :D - Everybody loved Maverick and Goose's bromance, but I'm pretty we sure we also wanted a tape player strapped to our thigh belting out epic music whilst flying a jet fighter. :D
My first car was an over powered 2 door nova I bought from the old lady whose lawn I mowed. No radio. I built myself a rig like the pilot in that movie (snipped one headphone wire so I could hear traffic (I was a lil crazy but not stupid) this and others made fire a great cmis on 44 through the Ozarks at 75mph.
Las músicas que hicieron Queen para las músicas de películas son siempre buenísimas. Pienso en las películas como Highlander, ÁGUILA de hierro y también la música Innuendo que para mí es mi preferida.
Great sound track. I just wish they would have added twisted sisters were not going to take it to the cassette tape. I still don’t understand why it’s not there? Also do you think someone bet Freddie Mercury he couldn’t get the lyrics fried chicken in this song?
chuckles................. the thing that made my SpecOps buddies wonder......... I practiced with my Sword each day. but they never questioned how sharp the edge was on the blades we carried ( that I made)
