We do have more content than you might realize, have a look here: smarthistory.org/asia/ We currently have 36 videos and essays on the art and culture South Asia and 7 on Southeast Asia. Clearly we need more.
@@smarthistory-art-history Thanks! I noticed some were also rather old and much information and content could be updated. Would be happy to discuss. Love your channel and the reach and quality is excellent and it could be enriched further. Perhaps with more detailed discussion on artistic/philosophical history of Indic/Southeast Asian art like done for the Greco-Roman art for instance. With also inclusion of the present context since Indic/Southeast Asian art is a living tradition.
Thanks for such an elegant and informative explanation. ♥️♥️ These sculptures are made so finely🧐 that I wonder which techniques they might have used?🤔
The title of this video made me laugh. I just saw myself looking in the mirror, sighing, and saying something absurd like, "I ask myself this every day.." 💁🏾♀😂 I definitely don't, but anyway... Kinda wish I'd watched this before my workout rather than after. Those toned arms and thighs might've inspired me - she looks great. I'm also on team low-to-no jewelry (the exception being a tongue ring). But if I did put some on, bangles and toe rings would be likely.
It is interesting that the body is idealistic, yet realistic, but the face is abstract. It doesn't seem like a portrait. Most women who agree to a portrait would rather have a detailed face than trunk and abdomen.
