She’s not even close to be perfect, and that’s why I’m rooting for her… a strong woman with flaws that had the potential to be a powerful Queen if she weren’t so broken… A good daughter, wife and most important a good mother. @@cain7925 Unlike Joffrey these Targeryens actually had the firepower to back themselves up. People fault her for not riding into war on her dragon but she did. After the death of Jace she assaulted the capital and flew into Kingslanding dressed in black armour on the back of Syrax. She was ready to fight and was ready for any ambush. She brought all of her airborne forces and the city fell within the hour. Joffrey couldn’t even take the north, Rhaenyra took back the entirety of Westeros within 1 day without any army.

@@joshuaadams6565 Keep in mind, she only went to King's Landing cause Aemond and Criston left earlier. I GUARANTEE you, if she knew Vhagar was chilling at King's Landing, she wouldn't have flown in. Aegon actually participated in battle more than once, and lived to tell the tale. Syrax, as far as Dragons go.... isn't much of a threat. She's described as a "court dragon", fat and lazy. I'm telling you, Vhagar would've simply roared and Syrax would've flown away, Caraxes would've had to take her alone, and at this point, we can't say Daemon had the same suicidal plan on hand in this moment so who knows if he'd be able to bring Aemond and Vhagar down alone without dying and perhaps Vhagar living

If she weren't so broken? What consequences did she face before her father died? She had free reign to do what she wanted with no consequences for her actions, thanks to Viserys not bothering to properly manage her. She didn't care for Duty or Tradition or anything of the sort, and that's a stupid mindset to have as heir to a Monarchy. Princess Rhaenys would've known better, and she seemingly does, and she would've made a far better Queen from the start than Rhaenyra ever would've been. Neither Aegon II or Rhaenyra are particularly fit for the Throne, to be honest. If she was a good mother, she wouldn't have gone about having not one, not two, but THREE Bastards. And she KNEW they'd be looked down upon given the circumstances. What kind of woman has kids and places them in that position? Imagine if your kid had to ask you "am I a bastard", and you can't even tell them the truth with a straight face.

What I find sad is that Rhaenyra really did not want the throne but would have made an excellent Queen. She fought for it only to keep her line of succession due to the prophesy of Ice and Fire. This was her goal all along. However, when the civil war starts (which the Greens clearly provoked it), she has loss after loss. She told her Father before he died that the Iron throne was a "burden" too great for her to bear. Like him, she was never after its power. I think that Rhaenyra and Daemon are perhaps the most important couple in the GOT franchise because it is their son who bring forth the PTWP (Jon Snow). They accomplished what was much bigger than themselves and the throne. Theirs is a bitter sweet ending.
