For his 4th birthday, Marshall's mom took him to the British Queen's Changing the Guard ceremony outside Windsor Castle. No one expected what happened when the guards saw the little boy in his replica uniform.
MrLongbow1415 u know what I don't think the Royal household or family would give a damn as this is a kid who loves the guards and being one which is quite endearing for anyone especially HM The Queen and HRH Prince Phillip.
Amen to that! I'm in Law Enforcement in America, I have and still have love, admiration, and respect for the British Military and their Law Enforcement. This is a very very touching moment in this boy's life. May his wish be granted. And may he enjoy it
To the young guardsman who made the little boys day - Thank you. You are a good sort of young man that the world needs more of. I just hope that your kindness was not looked down upon by the rest of the guardsman. I know that they must keep a very high standard of behavior. Good luck to both the guardsman and the junior guardsman.
They would all do the same they are the creme de la creme - the Guards - Scots,Welsh,Irish,Grenadier and Coldstream are everyday blokes and t he Regiments have history, class & a great sense of duty - theyre also a friendly bunch under those bearskins😍
He was most probably briefed to do that when the officers knew about the boy's birthday and trated him. Don't forget that many soldiers also have families of their own.
I'm going to hell for this, but I woulda' laughed so hard if he had taken the rifle off his shoulder and shouted, "MAKE WAY FOR THE QUEEN'S GUARD!" like protocol might dictate.
While the guard couldn't salute him back, the final clicking stomp he did before turning to leave was the equivalent gesture of respect. And Marshall's now just 5 years away from the day he can start becoming a King's Guard!
The Queen herself loved kids. And so does her son, King Charles. I am sure that they ordered that the soldiers have to be kind to kids and disabled people.
Makes me tear up every single time. When that guard comes back out, did you notice that the little guy snaps to attention and salutes before even being called over? What respect and passion for a 4 yr old!
It's nice to see a video like this. Because of the attacks in Manchester, Nice, and especially the Philippines, where I live at, about the attacks in Resorts World Manila. Also, in Marawi.
photos are at Mums place!, me, brothers & sister!, standing next to Guards!, Bobby's!, Beefeaters!, we are Aussies born & bred!, but, lived in the UK as kids!.
The little boy was 4 years old when the video was posted 5 years ago. That would make the little boy a little older, taller, and approximately 9 years old.
No he won’t, his regiment posted this video on their own Facebook page and have arranged a tour for the young boy. The guards were after marching into the arch effectively stood down from duty so this is not against their orders at that very moment in time.
