For anyone wondering at 7:45 why the bishop doesnt take the pawn on f4, it leads to checkmate because rook can land on g1 followed by rook d to d1 and there are no moves to prevent mate. Black square bishop has to keep an eye on g1 othewise king only has b2 square and gets mate.
I've been beat this way so I know exactly what you mean. I thought I had an easy win and missed the pawn preventing an escape. Even if you move the A pawn you still get mated.
Magnus’ ability to maintain/turn around losing positions is incredible. Hearing the commentators predicting his win whilst he’s worse off is always good fun🏆
2:41 I was very sad in life: I was fat and short, I was fired from my job, my girlfriend left me, my granny died, my landlord kicked me out of my apartment. Then one day, out of nowhere, I was playing the Najdorf Sicilian with Black and I played d4. Suddenly I was very happy with my life! Agadmator you genius, thanks for saving me 😊
Magnus really is the GOAT. When you said he had 40 seconds on the clock...followed by he found the only winning move...I was like 😅this guy is amazing.
No human always finds the move. But magnus finds it the most. More than anyone else. In very tough positions. I would find the moves he finds 10% of the time. His intuition is crazy and his memorization of patterns in positions is beyond anyone else . Honestly all the top guys are really wild to see in blitz chess
@ 7:44 , if... 1. Bxf4 Rg1+ , 2. Kb2 Rd1 (threatening 3. Rb1 mate) , then if ... A) 3. c3 Rg2 leads to mate as both the bishops will fall blocking the check B) 3. a3 Rb1+ , Ka2 Ra1+ , Kb2 Rb1# mate as c2 pawn occupies the only escape square
It’s the way Magnus referenced the Topolov game(and the year?!) in the post match interview as the reason for his decision making. The memory bank is pure genius. He’s got the talent of Fisher and the tenacity of Kasparov. MVL played awesome today in red hot form - but Magnus still found a way to win. Has to be the GOAT. Saviour it people, chess will be hollow without him and his unique ability to shock us all with ingenuity.
No one can match the charisma of Fischer ( at least until he turned 30 ) . Also think Fischer was more talented than anyone that’s come down the pike . But that’s just my opinion .
@@shaktiprasadkv2807If you are talking about actual ratings it is todays players who are overrated . Fischer was 2700 at a time that would today easily be over 2800
@@michaelblankenau6598 Unlike fisher era(100+gms),now there are around 2000 plus GMs,there is huge competition, whomever having good memory they are working with engines and playing, for me the GOATS are garry and magnus, beating younger Genaration in engine era consistently.
I love the Musashi quotes, have you ever read the manga Vagabond? it is soooo good and i m not an exclusive manga fan, only read a couple of those but vagabond is in my top written pieces i have read. Wait i edited to say that vagabond is based on musashi's life
The commentary team mentioned that MVL had a winning response at some point, I think itwas while blacks rook was still on f1 guarded by the pawn om e2? Anyways according to David Howell MVL could have interposed the other rook to the third rank cutting the Bishop's view to the queening square allowing queening for the price of one rook, but he missed it. Dunno if that analysis was correct, but it was mentioned during the live commentary.
@@cygnustsp that must’ve been the one from 29th of November 2016 though that was rather low pitched and unenthusiastic. later he developed a never failing energetic and resounding opening that remained close to identical for several years, in a fairly high carried pitch for his natural timbre, almost like a Wagnerian heldentenor, but I guess the strain took its toll on his vocal chords after all these celebrated performances - a chapter bygone ? it ended on a high note…
I have loved MVL since his monstrous win early in his candidates tournament appearance, but I feel like he has lost in every single Agad video ever since 😢😂
09.25 minutes in , Would rook d2 work for black ? , sacrificing rook, pawn takes bishop back and is 1 square away from promotion? I am a very low level , so just want to know what i missed.
once queens are off the board in a Magnus game , you might as well fast forward to the see what position they resigned in ... trading queens with Magnus is like "so you have chosen death"

I should have thought many of these fellows have a slightly overgenerous rating compared to Fischer, Alekhine, and Tal. Magnus is one of the greats but I don't know how some of the others would fare against the best of the 1950's and 60s.@@krustykrabpeetzah1379
Rumor: As chess has been greatly reduced after the advent of chess engines to AI -generated tactics concerning the higher tablespaces involving combinations of pieces thus reducing the advantage the players may obtain and so forcing them to look for breaks from theory earlier and earlier from known lines, cheating is really rampant among top tier players. However the art of cheating and tricking evaluators to accept semigod-like moves can only be had by the wisdom of practice. And who better than those commentators which observe games and work out lines and their evaluations as the games happen. And so the GCACA (grand chess anti-cheating authority) is investigating anonymous allegations that not only Agadmator has been and is secretly working with Hans Niemann, aiding and abating him, not only that Agadmator is really a 5000 classical rated player a 7000 rapid player and 7500 blitz player while his centaur rating remains conveniently a mystery, but also that he is the creator of a rumored mythical AI-chess engine of unparalleled chess-teaching-and-coaching capability called Agadmotor.
The score was even going into armageddon, but Magnus won during Armageddon with black by getting a draw. Maxime deserves a lot of praise for what he accomplished. The match was amazing.
Dude if you want to cover their games then showcase their games why would we watch you make the moves when we can watch them make the moves just a big brain idea here take it or leave it
One resource is not enough, making videos is actually his job instead of a side hobby, that's why he is very fast and posted a lot of videos literally minutes after the games ended, you can only do that if you sit and analyze the game while it's live, which takes a lot of hours, which can't be done if you have another job in your day, so this is his full time job.
Ad revenue alone isn't enough and donations aren't required. As with most content creators on the internet they like donations, but stress that they aren't required.
