Queen absolutely amazing I attended many Queen concerts in the 70s and 80s an fabulous 🇬🇧 Uk band , all the members of the band have written no 1 hits, Queens Greatest hits is the best Album of all time in the Uk 🇬🇧 !
Montreal 1981 Somebody To Love live and outstandingly amazing. Your brain will be blown!! Anything Queen did live is extraordinary. Wembley - Who Wants To Live Forever, Some Kind Of Magic. Live Aid! The whole 20 minute set is a masterpiece.
Great reaction 👍 Queen were phenomenal live …. Almost doesn’t matter what you put on … they always deliver and the diversity of material over the years is astounding. Definitely… 1981 live at Montreal for STL Recommend “who wants to live forever” live Wembley 1986 and of course Queen at “Live Aid” 1985 …. Often cited as best ever live rock performance (was televised by satellite to estimated worldwide audience of some 1.9 billion and performed live at Wembley to over 72,000 at the stadium and by live link to Philadelphia to 90,000 there. Early Queen also a real treat “White Queen” @ Hammersmith 24-12-1975 …. It’s a deep and rewarding rabbit hole 🎼 👑❤️👑❤️👑
Live version to do is LIVE FROM MONTREAL 1981 the snippets of a concert you see in this video are from their concert at Hyde Park in 1976 and ironically this song wasn't written then and so they're performing a different song and the 'splicer' did a spectacular job especially when Freddie is walking in his black leotard and throws his right arm out straight (perfectly timed to the beat of this song). 😍❤😎
You REALLY, REALLY need to check out the live version of “Somebody To Love” from the 1981 Montreal concert. Queen usually changed up songs in their live performances since it is difficult to recreate the studio version but also they wanted their fans to have a true show when they performed live.
This is Freddie's favorite song. He wrote it with Aretha Franklin in mind. He worshipped her. Kuddos to Roger Taylor the drummers major high notes. He always sang backup in concert wit Freddie.
Total package in a band that’s rarely seen these days. Freddie Mercury on vocals and piano, Brian May on guitar, John Deacon on base and Roger Taylor on drums. A four-man band. There’s another band from Canada by the name of Rush you need to listen to it’s just three friends and how they make the sound that they make is unbelievable with just three guys. “Working Man“ “Tom Sawyer“ “2112“ And the list goes on Rush is a three man power band.
Queen - Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Official Video). Freddie Mercury was a huge Elvis fan and he wrote this song as a tribute to him. The genre is rockabilly, an early style of 1950's rock and roll.
This was Freddie's gospel tribute to Aretha Franklin who he really admired, he always had wanted to do a song with her. Sadly, he passed before that happened but he gave us this fantastic song so it's all good. As amazing as this studio version of this song is, the Live at Montreal 1981 performance will curl your toes. Queen is at their best live and I will generally say if you have a choice, go with the live. The exception is Bohemian Rhapsody because there is so much multi-tracking on that song that the studio version is really the best, particularly for a first time listen. I think you will also love White Queen live at Odeon, Hammersmith 1985 and You Take My Breath Away live at Hyde Park. Those two songs really show off Freddie's vocal chops and also his instrumental skills. Thank you for this reaction.
Got to react to somebody to love live Montreal 1981. Queen is unbelievable live. There live performances are always incredible. Since you've just started with queen . Queen live aid performance will get you going down the queen rabbit hole. Queen catalog is huge And they never disappoint. Keep it going. R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU
You might want to view a version of this from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert ...Queen with George Michael ....man he can sing !! Was never really a George Michael fan but he is impressive :)
Thank You Joy!!! This is my Favorite Song Ever!!! I LOVE FREDDIE MERCURY so much! He's the best that ever lived! 💕💕💕 Please keep playing Queen. Radio GaGa is great and all their music!!! ❤️
Yes 🙌🏻 dear!! Please more more more Queen 👑 They were amazing. The live stuff is stunning and their diversity is beyond words. I suggest Who wants to live forever live at Budapest or Save me live at Montreal. Much bless to you and keep up the good work.
First....I could look at that face all day! You seem to enjoy the guitar .......you might like Stevie Ray Vaughan "Texas Flood, live from the El Macambo." It's impressive
Love your humor. Queen is one of the most impressive bands in history. If you wanna look into an underrated band from the 80's, please check out Journey. Steve Perry is the main vocalist and his vocals were unmatched in his uniqueness and delivery.
I don’t want to just like the comments, I want to add to the chorus. YES, do Montreal 1981. As far a catching up, there are so many mega hits among their 200 + plus songs. So, just take ‘em one at a time. 😉
Live at Milton Keynes is awesome, more raw and higher energy than live at Montreal, but both are excellent. I look forward to enjoying more Queen with your channel.
I love this song but believe it or not, it is even better when they perform it live. Check out the Montreal concert - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aA2IRoPFIn0.html or the Milton Keynes concert - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v8L3TCXsyX4.html.
My favorite song by Queen. They are masters of live performance! It will be highly recommended to watch the live version in Montreal. Yes! Perfection! The live version in Milton Keynes is Fire!! And, the live version in Hammersmith is like watching a lion cub test his roar!! Each performance is unique & different! Welcome to the QUEENDOM 👑
The live version from 1981 is pure gold. Although the studio version brings out the genius of the backing vocals. Choose you poison. Queen is excellent live or recorded.
Everyone is going to recommend the Montreal live version, and yes it is good. I prefer the Milton Keynes bowl version myself, just check it and see. I mean its Queen, so you can't go wrong either way
the thing that make queen truly Great and one of a kind is that they Sounded as good as this if not better Live and there was no such thing as autotune back then it was all pure talent.
I'm not sure there has ever been a 'World's greatest band' and if there was the Beatles have that gig, but I'm fairly sure Queen is on the shortlist for World's favourite band.
they would certainley get my vote doug, was lucky enough to see them live in scotland in the 70's and 80's and they were an incredible live band, a pure spectacle, i see a lot of zepplin/hendrix fans sneering at Queen and looking down on them for some reason? zeppelin are regaurded as the best rock band but Queen are way more diverse i think, hendrix and zeppelin are more of a cult following i'd say, not my cup of tea though! Queen were the worlds greatest live band and nobody comes near freddie
Yes..............there IS a reason this is THE greatest band of all time. And Freddie Mercury THE GREATEST front man and lead vocalist. Welcome to your addiction !!!
U need to hear the one in MONTREAL 1981 live U feel the PASSION u think this is awesome well his concerts explode and come alive Freddie includes his FANS that he lOVES every CONCERT 🎶
Somebody to love was written precisely surrounding his trouble with losing Mary due to his sexual desires. He loved Mary to ends of the earth and was left lost by sexual desires. It’s a truly sad story. He never forgot Mary and always looked out for her. Even leaving her his estate. Claiming nobody understood him like she did. His first and only true love. Can’t say that about many gay men. He wasn’t bisexual he was gay.
Loved your reaction. Good live songs by Queen ... God, there are som many of them! But my personal favorites: Who Wants To Live Forever - both Wembley 1986 and Budapest versions are fantastic. And of course Somebody To Love live from Montreal, 1981 is epic! I will also recommend Save Me live from Montreal, 1981.
@@adoseofjoy1 Oh, and let me add another Queen live favorite of mine; "Love Of My Life". Both the version from Montreal 1981 and Wembley 1986 are fantastic in different ways. And if you want to hear Freddie Mercury at his most intimate and emotional; "You Take My Breath Away", live at Hyde Park, 1976. It is indeed breathtaking.
Please react to either or both of these songs. One is by Brenda Lee called "If You Go Away" release on the album "Johnny One Time" in 1969. Very emotional and beautifully sung. The second is by Potliquor called "Cheer" from the album "Levee Blues" released in 1972. Great vocals, drums, piano, guitars, and horns. Fast moving, loud with a great message. Both are available on RU-vid. I'd leave a URL but they often don't work. Thank you!
In my opinion the best version is from Milton Keynes ( pronounced keens) it's very underused from 1982 it's a better concert altogether than the 1981 Montreal as the group enjoyed it more, without the restrictions for their fans from the security as happened in the 1981 concerts in Montreal
Interesting - I'll have to study this. (Always a good thing) from Montreal though I've never seen Dragon Attack done better (performance entertainment over music perfection) then again I haven't truly looked for D A past Montreal 1981. It has me hooked.
YAAAAAY.... Next, on to Queen LIVE. (Queen is actually the only band who are RENOWNED for being BETTER LIVE than in the studio.) I know a TON of folks are requesting that you react to "Somebody To Love" at Montreal... After that, here are more suggestions: "UNDER PRESSURE" LIVE AT WEMBLEY STADIUM, 1986 "THE MIRACLE" LIVE AT WEMBLEY, 1986 "FAT BOTTOMED GIRLS" LIVE AT MILTON KEYNES BOWL, 1982 "WHITE QUEEN" LIVE AT HAMMERSMITH ODEON, 1975 QUEEN'S ENTIRE 20-MINUTE SET AT LIVE AID, 1985
She did it 4 months ago (even says she's done that at the very beginning) here's a link for you ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZlUVMZUiZ1E.html
