Doesn’t king to E5 at 2:26 win for white??? If he moves the king then king takes pawn and if he moves the pawn the pawn takes pawn. Am I missing something here? No one’s talked about that move
@sanamite
@sanamite 2 года назад
@@dawghousetv @DawgHouse_tv I think so, but there are also many other mistakes, they were 1200 elo, what matters is the endgame, at 2:19 after black plays pawn to g4, there was pawn h4 for white, and the black king has no entry while white is gonna push their pawn, allowing the enemy king to get to your pawns that fast was a big mistake anyway

03:38 May I add one variant? White is not forced to capture Pg4! Simply pass the h pawn with h4!, and all fields for entry are blocked. (Trading gxf3, gxf3 would not help.) The c pawn will quickly promote.
@Monkeyboysdontknow
@Monkeyboysdontknow 2 года назад
Good call. But, I also thought of Pc5 @3:44. Black has no good counter move. Using black's g4 pawn to capture, only results in white's g2 pawn filling and blocking when white captures black's old g4 pawn. Kg5 moving to attack whites h3 pawn would drag the game out, but wastes too many moves, IMHO. Regardless, your idea is much more efficient and mine is not as foolproof.
@dab_u7185
@dab_u7185 2 года назад
if white keeps a pawn at f3 and h3 each, black‘s king can never come around to capture any of the pawns, so yeah just play c5 and recapture if black captures any of the pawns
@dab_u7185
@dab_u7185 2 года назад
but yeah h4 is even better
@itssilviboy2511
@itssilviboy2511 2 года назад
There was also a variant where you could give up h3 pawn and dont take with Pf3 (instead you push Pc5), then black has to take Pf3. you counter that with Pg2-Pf3 then you could push the pawn on the left. The king has to move in 2 turns to get the pawn on f3 and the 3rd move of the king has to be to get out of the way for the pawn. by that time you arleady got the queen.

@oenrn

Queen vs knight is a winning position for the queen side. It would delay the checkmate by several moves but that's it.
@alieninsectbass
@alieninsectbass Год назад
Absolutely not. 1. Queen & King vs. Knight & King is a smooth win-an often tricky win, avoid knight checks! 2. This position is even worse-Mate in 3 because of White's followup Kd3. This would force the knight to move to a square where it is either captured (in which case White goes Qxg3+ and the Black king is pretty much dead meat) or forced to abandon control of e2, a square intersected on by the White queen and king (in which case White goes Qe2#).

Hey there is no zone in rook pawn let me tell you why.let just tell you left side rook pawn ok. If king go block the pawn it is going to be a stalemate because remember that the left side has a more space to king to go in bishop pawn, now, there is no space because this is rook pawn left side if the king block the pawn to get a queen and the white queen one right side top somewhere you cannot make turn if you make turn it's a stalemate because top queen will cover the cover the space the king can only go top, but, pawn is blocking. That's why rook pawn is a draw. Same thing on the right side.

I have been watching your videos for a while now. I finally decided to sub because I have learned a lot by watching them. Sure there is still much that I would have to learn to get anywhere near your level of playing chess and I am cool with that. One of the things that I learned that I didn't know before is quite interesting. I learned how to play chess when I was young forgot how young I was. Then I figured out how to checkmate in four moves pretty quickly. I didn't know that checkmate had a name attached to it. I knew that I wasn't the first one to use though. It was interesting to learn it has a name called; "The Scholar's Mate". I never would've imagined that it had a name attached to it. I also have to thank you for helping me to see that I have to look at a lot of things before making a move. I have been using them on any quiz videos you make. Things like is my king in danger of checkmate. Can I checkmate my opponent's king. Am I or my opponent ahead material. Is there any hanging pieces that can be taken for free. Basically I look for the above along with a few other things that I recently learned from your videos.

You play with your queen and king and win since knight and king can't checkmate. Your only concern is to avoid royal fork (you avoid this by puting your queen and king on different colours, or using the squares that are hard to reach for a knight (2 squares diagonally or 3 squares in line)) to progress to lesser enemy's space and checkmate when the enemy king is on the edge. Or you could also fork the knight with some checks and win the knight eventually. Either way it's a win for White.
