If ever a poem was a song this would be it! A GREAT vocal range by Freddie. What more can I say. It is a song that is really smooth and Freddie makes it sound like a lullaby. I wonder who he wrote this for? Do enjoy.

Freddie played this alone because he had just written it and the other hadn't learned it yet so they were taking a break. About Freddie's voice, I think the best quality he has is the fact that you can tell he really feels what he is singing and expresses his feelings so amazingly that it makes you feel what he is feeling. So sad that he and we missed out on so much of him by his early death. We love you Freddie.

The studio version has the Queen stamp on it technically which is wonderful and those opening moments are flat out stunning. They both give me the chills. I think one of the Fantastic Four's super powers was that they were confident enough in their own abilities and their artistic vision to forge ahead without listening to the people in the music business that try and shape artists to fit what is happening in popular music at the time. They were influenced by past musicians but created their own sound. I'm always surprised by the deep cuts on each album. They basically did whatever they wanted. That made them timeless. The only music the kids and I could agree on for long road trips was Queen's Greatest Hits. They knew all the words and we all sang along. Not a problem if you turned the volume up loud enough.

Great reaction. Another song I recommend is Get down, make love, studio or live in Montreal 1981. I can't decide which I like more. What would be great if you can react to some songs which Brian or Roger sing. From Brian I would recommend '39 or All dead, all dead. From Roger his most famous one I'm in love with my car or Drowse. If you want to hear all 3 of them in 1 song, they made only one, which is pitty, because all have nice voices, there is song Let me live.

Freddie exposes his soul and his inner feelings in so many songs...but I think this was one of the best. His voice was ethereal in this song. I agree with your feelings of having a calming effect on you. This song, lyrics and piano are just so Heavenly and peaceful, just like the lyrics....they take MY breath away also. I Love your reactions to Queen and Freddie, especially this one. The look on your face as you listened and absorbed it was pure tranquility and intense feeling. Isn’t it absolutely Amazing how Queen can take you to so many different and I do mean different, places, emotions and feelings? I think that is one of the reasons that so many people love Queen and Freddie and also that so many new fans are discovering them and realizing the unique and unrivaled talent of Queen. It is one of my greatest joys to watch people like you and others discover their greatness and to fall in love with them even 40+ years later. I know I always say this, but, “Keep enjoying the rollercoaster ride that is Freddie and Queen and you’ll discover what you already have....that you NEVER want to get off! Great reaction! I anxiously await the next. Another song you should check out is It’s Late! It’s not a well known song and is definitely a hidden gem. Enjoy♥️

You are spot on everything you said. They were indeed the fantastic 4. LOL, They are also all amazing alone as well. I could sit and listen to Freddie and a piano all day long. The album version of this song is beautiful as well and it has all those super human harmonies that Queen is so famous for. It's worth a listen. They indeed influenced many artists and still do today. That is why they are so legendary and their music is timeless. By sheer force of will and enormous talent they forged their names into legendary stratosphere. Freddie once was quoted as saying, "I won't be a rock star, i'll be a legend." He definitely fits that bill. I like what you said about his voice being relaxing or calming. His voice is calming and also somewhat hypnotic. I think i could listen to Freddie speak or sing the phone book and he would have my full attention. Anyway, thank you, thank you for another great Queen reaction. I actually ran across a Queen song i hadn't heard before called How can I go on. It was a really good song so maybe you can add it to your list to react to??

Geat reaction! the song and performance are really special. Some facts about this song and performance: - The show was a free concert to thank their fans. About 150.000 came, not only fans, that's the explanation for the chatter and screaming in the beginning. The show ended in some turmoil, and was closed without encores. -that shows how brave it was, to sing a song like this to a crowd like that. -Freddie sang very rarely live in falsetto, this was one rare exception. His voice was in very good shape at that time. -The piano tune is written in the Japanese pentatonic scale, what shows, how mature the composition itself is. -The song is supposedly written for his first steady boyfriend David Minns. Freddie left his long time fiancee Mary for him. The relationship with David had extreme ups and downs.

Your reactions to all of the Queen songs you have been listening to convinces me that one day in the future you'll excitedly say to a child of yours "you must hear the music of the band Queen who were recording in the 1970s & 1980s & their music is still relevant more than 30 years later, son".... you have a very critical ear & you hear things even in the background of these songs & point them out verbally in pauses, which is wonderful. It's been said by so many people that once they delved into Queen music, they unwittingly cannot help but compare it to other music & other music just isn't as good as they used to think it was. Queen is literally an addiction & you are showing signs of it. I watch your face listening to Freddie sing...whether a ballad or fast rock song, you show your incredulous adulation for Freddie's voice, his passion for his music, & how he always gives the best he can at live concerts. Your discerning ear for music allows you to recognize perfection so we trust yr critiques. I cannot think of a voice in any genre that is more controlled with such perfect delivery. I think part of why he impresses us to such an extent is not only his vocal range but HIS PASSION WITH WHICH HE DELIVERS EACH VOCAL. He mesmerizes us. I nicknamed Freddie several months ago as A MASTERPIECE IN HUMAN FORM. Watching his face singing as he plays his piano, for example singing White Queen, In The Lap of The Gods, Bo Rhap live, is like sitting on a bench in an art museum staring at a painting that you are overwhelmed by, taking in its effect on you, its beauty, its uniqueness. To me, that is what we do when Freddie sings with such vocal passion. Mike Myers said about Freddie "He was a God who walked the Earth as a Man." Thank you for taking the time to really, really hear his passion. You are helping as well as encouraging new generations to be educated about what GREAT music Queen made

This is the most beautiful song by one of the most beautiful voices and most beautiful people. Dimash is good but he's not my style and doesn't have crap on Freddie Mercury. I love it when a person comes from obscurity and has no piano or vocal lessons and they teach themselves how to do everything and they are masters of their own crafts.. Adam Lambert's okay but I'm not a huge fan of him because he had voice lessons growing up and other people had to teach themselves and their more original and real.fDimash is another one and that's one guy I would like to see you run across the stage like Freddie Mercury singing forward to 6 octaves because it's not happening... Dimash has a gorgeous voice but if that man could learn how to correct your pronunciation and speak better English he would be a much more popular singer... he's great for Opera! This is one of the most beautiful love songs I've ever heard in my life❤

This beautiful song was written for his then boyfriend David Minns. David was Freddie's first real boyfriend after many ons with men, even while with Mary. He left Mary for him finally coming to terms with being gay. This was basically a "Thank you" for David as well as a declaration. It was hard back then being gay, and even though he admitted it in interviews he was viewed as bi, because this way the record company, especially the Amercian representation, could play it of as element of the shows. They feared that the record sales would drop otherwise or even worse the career of the band would end. Unfortunarely this led to a lot of misinformation and misconceptions and homophobia is still strong. This song is a masterpeice, Freddie's voice is so full of emotion understandably.Simply mesmerising.

Hi, this song is absolutely beautiful it reminds me of laying on the couch relaxing and listening to this song so smooth, there is a studio version the harmony melts you away. Thank you for your reaction!❗💜

Nice reaction! Yes, this song really does take your breath away. Freddie did always remain authentic, and he always did put everything of himself into the music. Freddie is a good mixture between good technical singing and singing with real emotion. You will often find that most singers either lean one way or the other. You might not realize but The Beatles were originally called the fab 4 in the 60's, but a lot of people has dubbed Queen as the fab 4 from the 70's. Another amazing jazzy piano balled that you really have to see is My Melancholy Blues live in Houston 1977 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-d4lzQCrkbdQ.html. One of Freddie's friends said it was the song that most reminded him of Freddie personally.

Did your cat voice its approval of your words? If I ever had another boy cat I would name him Freddie. Can you believe that Freddie thought he was not a very good piano player? Calm& relaxation? Yes indeed. I think there is something healing in the timbre of Freddie's voice. Every night I go to sleep listening to the entire Barcelona album, 2nd edition.

This live performance you reacted to is much better than the studio version. The studio version lost it’s beautiful simple sound that came straight frim Freddie’s heart. Still good, but this live version touches your heart and soul much more, in my opinion.

He had "it" . It wasn't his voice alone. Or his manner. He was a force of nature. His soul had magic or presence. Only a handful of souls in any century compel notice or loyalty or love from everyone around them. That's not something you can do on purpose. It's like a glistening or a sparkling. You are a light in the darkness and it's something God gives you. Freddy was magic. Plain and simple
