@QueensNativeNYC yep at the time I was going there every Day it cost only a dollar to see the movie and you could sit there all day until they closed at 11pm
After looking at the titles on the Marquee I had to go to the Cinema Treasures website to read up on theater, lol. It's amazing how adult theaters (I know this one was only an adult theater for a short period) could be located in neighborhoods. There is another one in Jackson Heights that was the same thing. I'm beginning to wonder if we will ever get snow again in New York. We haven't had anything more than a smattering for two years now.
I did notice the triple xxx on the theatre😂😂😂.. Hey it was the 70's, it was to be expected.. Queens didn't want times square to have all the fun.. Yes, it has been awhile since the city has gotten a significant snowstorm.. I'm guessing next winter the big storm is on for real.. I'm assuming that because I believe in the laws of probability..
Yes, I remember the drake movie theater. I seen rocky 1 there, and Saturday night feaver, at the time in 1979 I payed 3 bucks and I wound sit there for 5 hours and keep watching the movie until they asked me to leave, yes. Those were the days👏👏👏👍
