I live around the corner. You have to Texas rig a straight worm and you get some really big bass in there .. and they come out when the sun goes down. Also that carp you mentioned is a really big Koi.. it’s fully orange and is visible in the summer
Just my two cents but there are two more ponds east of there you could also fish, Springfield Pond Park and Brookville Park. I don't know why that water was so murky that day. Springfield Pond Park is also supposedly fed by underground springs but it is normally pretty clear. Same with the pond in Brookville Park.
Just a thought but you mentioned that you saw some huge carp. When Carp spawn they really stir the water up badly. They can turn a small lake into chocolate milk in the shallows.
I live there there are ale wife channel cat fish buffalo carp lare mouth bass yellow perch snake heads oscars black crappie white crappie sun fish and a few pickerel
Thanks Cole! It's funny, I saw a vid of a guy fishing there early in the year and he caught a good one. I was just confused (as I repeated WAY too many times) by that water color...any insight on that?!? And we gotta get out there!!!
Used a top water frog on this pond at dusk one day perfect conditions sun was setting and bass were blowing up on the surface all around me but I would bring the frog past them and nothing. I think those urban bass are too smart. Decades of inexperienced anglers going after them they’ve learned the exact difference between a lure and food
Damm that was a bad day is like me in van cortland 3 months and no bass lol but next time it my be better im going to indian today see if i work on theme
Other day a man killed his 3yr old daughter in his car... he lit the car on fire locked kids door it gets to hot for his ass and jumps out the car jumping in the pond leaving his daughter in the burning car
