@Hari Seldon Christ me too. Big fan of Kyuss and early QOTSA (not so much their later stuff). Also, saw them play this live around 2002 or so: pretty fuckin' epic.
I really wish Spotify would get these obscure songs on there. I thought I had heard everything these guys had, but it seems there's quite a few gems floating around that I haven't.
I've been saying this since you have, for fcking years brother. This song and Josh hommes the dangerous lives of altar boys song - All The Same. That song is phenomenal, neither on spotify... this song here infinity was a secret bonus track off lullabies to paralyze too why don't they have it. I've emailed them about this with no response. 😢
@JBSaysHi I just realized they don't have that song too... wtf.. this is so sad. Its pretty annoying having to keep these songs in a separate folder, i want to listen to them all on spotify without having to switch each time .. smh
@@LiveFastRaceHard yeah man, there’s a unreleased song from when they recorded in the salt mine. Which the salt mine thing never came out either. Maybe one of these days we can get it all.

One of their greatest songs - this version, not the version they did later. And yet it never made an album. Bit of a hidden gem. Try riding a motorcycle at high speeds with this in your ears... incendiary.
Like a version of Tool’s Salival but queens. On that note, always wished Tool would have a Salival rerelease or #2 so that their cover of Demon Cleaner would be all sexily remastered on it.
I recently happened upon " Them Crooked Vultures" thanks to a Spotify recommendation. Scumbag Blues was the song and the more I listened, the more I fell in love with this guys voice. Now I'm kinda obsessed with QOTSA as well as the Vultures. So happy good music is still be put out in this day and age. Rock on!!!
If you're obsessed with the voice, style, and feel of Josh Hommes work, you should check out "The Desert Sessions" There are about 5 albums (vol 1&2, vol 3&4, vol 5&6, vol 7&8, vol 9&10) and some of the stuff on there came out on later Queens of the Stone Age albums. Its pretty great stuff.
Mexicola was my favourite from QOTSA and now this song smashed that into the ground. Holy crap! Those electric kazooy bits are the fecking best and that guitar is so damn good. This is why I absolutely love Stoner Rock.
Better than Mexicola?!? That's saying something. I am solid to songs like In the Fade, Avon, You Can't Quit Me Baby, and number one Better Living Through Chemistry. But yes indeed listening to this challenges my top pics for sure.
@@yukimaruzam Year later and just listened to it again. I stand very much corrected and even though I'm hugely into QOTSA now, this as well as "Walkin on the sidewalks", "You can't quit me baby" and "How to handle a rope" are definitely there.
Thanks for putting this up on your channel, Alberto. Ive been low key worshipping this band, and all of the satellite bands (Kyuss, Eagles of Death Metal, Them Crooked Vultures, etc) for over two decades now, and I've somehow missed this track. It's stunning; how it missed the album cut is beyond me. I cant quit listening to it - it just keeps getting better.
happy to hear that! Always charming to find the hidden gems, if you haven't checked "The Definitive Collection Of B-sides & Rarities" go for it, you may find some more there.
Thanks for the hint!!!@@alburnto The only such collection of tracks I was aware of was the ones that came after Era Vulgaris, what with `The Fun Machine Took a Sh!t! and Died` and whatnot.
My dear older brother introduced me to Kyuss when I was just getting into music, coming of age and all that. I LOVED them, they inspired me to play guitar. Once I heard that Josh was starting his own thing, I was on board. They released a half Kyuss, half Queens album, and honestly, if you haven't heard it, check it out. I knew right away Josh had the chops to be his own man. It is seriously dope. I saw them in Vancouver for their first shows, and there was maybe 20 of us, and they killlllllled it. And to watch their rise to the top of rock has been pretty cool to see, because early on it was apparent that they deserved it. And by they, I mean Josh, who is the balls...
This has always been the best song not officially on a Queens album. I almost like that it wouldn't really fit on any of them, all the way to Villians. It's a stand alone song with it's own unique production and gives me chills every time that feedback and wall of sound kick in at the chorus.
I agree but would only add so that Homme has so many amazing songs in his catalogue from the craziest side adventures...the bronze comes to mind, personally
@@speedking7224I don't think Josh has the heavy sound in him anymore. They haven't made anything with these heavy riffs since maybe SFTD, with "Millionaire".
In case anyone is wondering, the 'sex' you can hear at the very start of this track is the run-off from the previous track, this is taken from the Heavy Metal 2000 soundtrack album.
Probably one of, if not my favourite track by QOTSA something about it just makes me feel so badass. Its an absolute shame the boys never released it!!!
I'm a huge fan of QotSA since like 2005 and I used to listen to that song YEARS ago, but because of Spotify I just forgot about it. Last week I told about the band to the girl I'm seeing and yesterday she said "I love that one song, but I can't find it on Spotify". She tried to sing it to me, but we are both brazilian so our english is not that good, and I didn't recognized the song. When she opened this very video, the first 30 seconds was like listening to QotSA for the first time again. It was magical lol
This song is timeless and infinite much like the title suggests. It has the epitome of perfect synergy. I cannot hear it enough. Infinity, Avon... they are amongst my faves. I Cling To The Limitless
I listen to this song when I need to get out of a depressive state. It works. There's something euphoric about it.😮 Thank god for Josh Homme. Thank Josh Homme for Josh Homme 😊
I had a dog who always cried in the end, while that beautiful guitar distortion noise rolls. I never knew if he liked or not, but I know that I always love how this song ends "dirty" because of the noise
use a bass distortion pedal as your primary distortion while your amp is on a clean channel, balance all the tones and shit on there to make it not sound like a bass, toggle you guitar to treble and turn your tone knob down to about a 6. pretty damn close.
SickNegativeCreep wtf a bass distortion... À creamy fuzz, like josh always used, fuzz face, tonebender or maestro fuzz clones, fulltone ultimate octave, even a big muff could do the job

QoTSA are one of my faves and I thank you for putting that forth, I thought I heard 'em all, but this is new (to me) and I had an eargasm. Can't wait for the new album coming out this year!!!
wow this is fantastic, i never heard it before and for such and old song it still sounds like something that could've been in maybe Era Vulgaris or especially the new record
i was never a queens fan until i watched watchmojo's list of top twn QOTSA songs. it made me search and listen to all their albums. damn they are bad ass.
+Sting Rey ikr... i fuckin love these dudes... josh homme is a total dude.... songs for the deaf introduced me to them but they have so many great songs....
