Ive seen them with every line up since their inception in 98 and I have to say this current line up and the 2002 line up with Grohl/Oliveri/Lanegan are tied for the first. Although having seen them 15 times...I have never seen them have a "bad" show.
The chemistry between Jon Theodore and Mikey Shoes hasn’t been seen in rock in forever. They have the type of chemistry that jazz rhythm sections tend to have. Just very locked in with each other, always having conversations
That version of The Way You Used To Do is _smoking!_ 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Such an emotional night, considering the loss of Tony... the renditions of I Appear Missing and Villains Of Circumstance are incredibly special, as well. 🥺 And of course Long Slow Goodbye.
Where are they playing? I also heard the next album is their last and won't be touring for it or anytime after, as Josh has said he's accomplished everything that he has wanted and just wants to live the simple life.
@@TransDrummer1312 Let’s remember they’re not „live album” - quality recordings, just quite random multitracks put together by someone kind enough to do it. Could be better, could be worse, mostly they’re just too quietly mastered compared to the ads and other content (also loving this particular bassline for 10 years now...) What bothers me more is josh’s form in those days. Hope i’m right about it, but he seems better now. Much love to the best rock band of our era in their ultimate line-up (totally meaning it, not willing to debate now)
I blame the people recording the concert, *DR* (Danmarks Radio, our equivalent to the BBC). They are entirely tax payer funded, which often makes them lazy.😤 I was at the concert in 2018, and it sounded fine Live.
