It's a rare thing to see a freight train (of any sort) pass through the platforms at Roma Street, this is likely due to Cross River Rail diversions due to construction work along the Exhibition / Normanby loop.
Thank god I went to Brisbane back in September 2018 to ride the good old EMU's one last time and only NGR's were on the Gold Coast/Airport, Doomben, Northgate and Roma St services. Only a week I went before they were being deployed to the Redcliffe/Springfield line.
What do you propose they do with the NGRs??? I personally think they should add more aboriginal wraps, they should put them on another 20 NGRs to add some colour to the train and everything else. Just my opinion anyway......
