Kills me! One of the best bands ever to this. From Chris leaving it's been a horrible downward spiral ...I hate how it turned out for Queensryche. 😔

This guy's drumming was a huge part of the QR sound.

Such a tragedy that this great band is still facing internal issues after all these years of conflict, regardless of where the fault lies.

When Chris left I was on the fence but once Geoff left that was it for me.

Really sucks to see what has become of such an awesome band. I saw them with Metallica in January of '89. They put on a helluva show.

Here we are yet again, the turmoil surrounding Queensryche is bigger than the band itself. It's sad really.

I was fortunate enough to see Queensryche at L'Amour in Brooklyn,NY on the Rage for Order tour. That is Queensryche. I will keep that memory and that band was incredible. Scott is an amazing drummer and a super nice guy. I was able to talk with him on the MORC a while back. Todd is a great singer and I think the new band sounds good, but I will choose to live in the past...where, in my opinion...all the good music is.

I always thought they were Brothers in Arms, such a highly respectable band. What a mess!

I saw the “new” Queensryche live and Geoff Tate solo live. Tate wins, IMO. The “new” Queensryche seemed tired and like they were just going through the motions. Tate’s project sounded more legitimate.

I am a huge fan. Have seen them numerous times in 80 and 90s and 2000s . I I can't see them anymore. Because it's just not the same. Geoff Tate is all I would see now. ...

this is so similar to what KK downing and Priest have been doing the last couple of years. the drummer was let go without no official notice just like KK downing. ok downing walked away but he asked to rejoin the band but ever since then Halford hill and Tipton didn't want him back. it's such a shame great bands like priest and Queensryche can't seem to bury the hatchet . I can't even call this The real Queensryche. Tate ; DeGarmo and rockenfield were Queensryche

When will these 2 realize it's time to end name Queensryche??? What's the point without having anyone from the core trio in the band? Props to them , but it's was all about Chris, Geoff & Scott.

These guys make the David Gilmour - Roger Waters Pink Floyd split look downright tame by comparison.

It's so disappointing how they refer to the band in a heartless, cold corporate language.....it's almost like no member of the band actually loves the band, they just treat it as a business enterprise.....very sad.

Omg! This is terrible, cause lately? The band is more about drama, than it is about the music! And speaking of which? They’ve slipped bigtime as they no longer sound like they once did, only sounding like every other mediocre band out there and not the standout thing they used to be! It’s sad what they’ve become, time to say goodbye!

If only we could get Tate, DeGarmo, Wilton, Ed and Rockenfield in a room together. Then immediately bring in some good therapists to work their shit out. The original band is leaving far too much on the table not to give this a try. Why the hell not - it worked for Metallica! 😂

Truth be told, I rarely make comments on YT, but based on how much I loved Queensryche from their inception a long, long time ago I just had to chime in. These guys were amazing, such talent. For it to degrade into this pile of horse poop is just sad. Clearly the coin has two sides but for two founding members to have gone out so horribly just sucks. I guess I'm just an old fart but rock bands in my lifetime have always fought, then they made up, made another album, toured and life went on. This crap is like a real life lifetime movie, lets call in Judge Judy, that should put an end to this nonsense!

This band has no shortage of drama between members of the original line-up save for Chris Degarmo staying out of it altogether since he left way back when. He keeps out of the press altogether it seems. Still one must wonder what his personal opinion of all this might be. Rockenfield's sabbatical/leave of absence has always struck me as bizarre to be honest. Okay. You have a paternity leave which I think it completely understandable. But to have it drag out for so long and even skip recording an album altogether is a WTF moment. There's more to it than this. There has to be. Otherwise, why would Scott be so damned absent and aloof in the past few years?

t one time this was a great and polished band with two of the best albums back to back, that was the best time to be a fan then 1990s hit and it has been nothing, not a bit of that kind of artistry from them so they now bitch and sue over money from a group that has been dead for like 30 years. not going to lie, they now suck and i have had enough, in the best line i can think of "bye Felisha"

Loved this band. Saw them live many times. With and without DeGarmo. But just not the same. Haven’t followed them since Q2K.

This will always be he said she said scenario....Tate said in interviews that Rockenfield was the heart of the Queensryche sound, DeGarmo has said many times that there was a break among the members that made his decision easy. Tate and DeGarmo still talk, Tate still speaks highly of Rockenfield, I think we can see who the breakaways are and why they keep having problems since DeGarmo left.....it's redundant

Scott was more then willing to be a part of the band again,but LaTurd wanted one of his friends in the band on drums. I think LaTurd is holding the leash and the others just follow along like lost I puppies. I agree,Tate/DeGarmo/Rockenfield would be much more Queensryche then the cover band itself that can't write lyrics for shit. After the first half of the songs it's just a repeat of lyrics on 90% of what they have released with Todd. Never cared for him and never will. Time to hang it up and call it a day already.

I’m happy that Queensryche is continuing in some form. Geoff Tate lost his marbles around 2009, and tried turning Queensryche into a weird jazz/cabaret band. Whatever they’re doing now, it can’t possibly be worse than that. Even Tate realized he was fucked up and is leaning back into the early Queensryche sound on records, and touring the old classics

Rockenfield should work things out with Geoff Tate, if possible, and then you pretty much have the same number of original members in both iterations of Queensryche. Then, fans just go see version that they prefer. Fortunately, I saw Queensryche when there was only just one, with all original members, less one, Chris D.

I’ve headed Scott may be dealing with some issues that let’s say people can struggle with when in a band. Does anyone know if this rumor is even true and has he managed to finally seek help if it’s true? It would be terrible if that’s where all the band’s money was going.

He probably couldn’t afford to keep his wife from not working and putting food in his baby’s gullet wit QR earnings. Damn shame QR was great in the heyday.

EJ is a phenomenal bass player. His work on Roads to Madness is legendary. MW is an incredible guitar player. His songwriting on those early albums is obviously critical to the history. But, yes the “but bomb”, when a band has been so gutted and only 2 of 5 remain, with the other 3 leaving in bad terms…well, you’re doing a greater disservice to the band/brand than if you just changed the name and moved on.

Mike and Eddie's claims seem the most plausible. It certaining looked like he abandoned the band. If you've a share in a business you can't just piss off for 2-3 years and not make any money.

Would Casey Grillo out drum Scott Rockenfield? I don’t think so.. maybe I haven’t listened to casey enough to get a general opinion on him.. but I do know Scott was a big part of the QR drum sound..

Everyone always complains that DeGarmo was the brains blah blah blah, and while he was a huge huge part of the band for years, he moved on after he practically wrote Hear in the Now Frontier by himself and it failed miserably. Whether it was a lifestyle change or whatever he left. Get over it. Don't get me wrong, I always admired Queensryche for never repeating themselves. After Chris left, Geoff took over and pretty much allowed the rest of the band to get screwed over by his wife. When someone finally questions all the underhanded shit that Geoff's wife was pulling, Geoff turn on the band. Can't blame anyone for getting upset when money is being stolen from under you to fund other bands out of the country..... Geoff has stated in the past that he hated metal music and it was very childish. Pretty much turns his back on the music that made him who he is. I loved Geoff's solo album from 2002, but it seems that both Chris and Geoff, used Queensryche as a "feeler" to see how a solo album would work for their respective careers. Talk about tarnishing a legacy. Fast forward, Scott takes leave for his baby to be born, and then just disappears for how long? Try that at your employer and tell me how that will go over. I love all versions of Queensryche, Geoff and Todd. I'll take Toddryche over Hear in the Now Frontier, Tribe, OMII and Dedicated to Chaos which all had Geoff and Chris. Also, anyone who is in a band knows that friendships can go to shit in a heartbeat. A fine line between Music/Friendship and business. Long Live the Ryche
